The new JSA unita are clearly inspired by anime; it looks to be from specific anime, rather than just a style thing though. The kuroshi rider is from Durarara!! and the unit 9 are from Ghost in the Shell. I can't place the rest, are they almost straight from something I don't know or have forgotten?
I feel like the Daiyokai is from the super big Samurai demon from Sucker Punch but I cannot confirm this...
Also "Sucker punch" isn't anime. It's just a shite movie (Zack Snyder should not be allowed to direct movies.).
I'm leaning a bit towards Samurai 7 for the Daiyokai. Unit 9 is unmistakably Ghost in the Shell, as are the two male Keisotsu.
I'm fairly sure that seeing specific characters in "generic appearance samurai, but bigger" is looking a bit too much into the matter. Unless there are small details that narrow it all down, of course. Morloks would like to inform us that CB isn't above referencing shite movies.
The original time machine was quite good for its time. The remake somewhat less so. It had its moments, but I much prefer "time after time" where HG Wells uses his machine to chase Jack the Ripper through time.
