The Dakinis are OK without a pin or peg IME as the feet are so large (and separate to the leg) that they get a good grip by themselves. It's the ankle joints that'd be a weak point but using a fresh tube of gorilla superglue seems to have worked for mine. Those minis do have the feet on backwards though, the longer toes should point backwards to balance the leg shape.
I've decided I'm going to try painting the base. Taking them off and then back on is going to be a huge pain. I think I can come up with something.
An acetone bath will separate everything nicely if you don't want to keep the paint or bases, it breaks down superglue so the pieces will fall apart (along with most other things)
I think i'm going to try some more oil washes on them too. I've done a little bit so far and really like them.
I may be a bit too excited . I got my credit from my FLGS and already got the Roadbot. I've also ordered the Remotes and Pavarti.
Miniature Market currently have stock of the Longarms, but honestly they're probably one of the few bad units in the game and easily skippable.
I really like the combi rifle ones. They seem perfect for missions like armory. +1 Dmg, +1 B pulzars are fantastic. Then also +1 Dmg E/M Grenades. The Red Fury is basically a Shock+AP Spitfire for only 1 SWC. It even has better long range. Edit: I think, depending on how they look, Aleph Riksha make sense thematically and the work with my SP.

The new red fury longarm definitely has some game now in Spiral, but I think it still comes up short as a SWC-holder in O12. Gamma, Eps, Knauf, Omega, and Lynx are all top shelf and you can afford multiples of them, due to O12's fantastic range of 12pt models. SWC is always a pinch though.
They can only be taken in Starmada. Within SM they look to be the best bang for the points. The RF Chaksa is better than an HMG in many cases due to AP. BS12, B4-5, Shock+AP, Dmg 13+1=14, +3 8-24", -3 24-40 (a spitfire is only to 32). It beats out other RF troops for hitting power. But some of the others have things like speed or maneuverability. I can now knock off Pavarti, REM-Bots, and Andromeda off my list! I have a bit of a problem though. I'm not sure if I want to paint up Andromeda in my Steel Phalanx colors or O-12. Pavarti I already know I'm doing O-12.
Andromeda is a spy, so you could justify doing her in a mix of the two schemes, or an inverted scheme. She's rarely deploying alongside other units in the table so an alternative colour scheme can emphasise her independent/infiltrating nature.
I had my first game playing Starmada last night. 300pts. Supremacy. Vs. Hassasins. I went to the store not knowing what I was going to be playing. I had a list was just of stuff I wanted to try out. I liked the Raptor a lot. Being able to go into cybermask was cool. Though I didn’t need it this game. The Lawkeeper Redfury with sidebot is fantastic! Just like the MBH but regular and the sidebot is pretty cool. Sadly the Roadbot got Jammed by a Mutt and couldn’t do much. I couldn’t do much with the haris of Psi-Cops and Longarm. The Longarm worked well though, putting a wound on damn Asawira.
