Why does JSA not have access to REM racers? I dont really understand why, from a fluff perspective: JSA should, of the NAA sectorials, be by far the one that has access to the highest rescources, being a state on its own (the others are "only" merc companies), with a population of several dozen millions and facilities in different system So they do have the tech. And they are "attractive" enough to have an aristeia star like Mushashi in their ranks. Addidionally, with all those bikes, they have an strong tendency to the racing aspect. So there should be quite a number of Japanese in the rem racing business. From a game stand point I also don´t see that a rem racer would be over powered or unbalanced. Other sectorials do get combat remotes like the rui shi integrated in their links, which I recon as more of an upgrade to remotes than a rem racer would be. Do any of you see or know of a fluff reason for rem racers being left out of JSA? Seems to me it is a generell "no rem racers in sectorials thing", but then JSA is a kond of very special sectorial...
This is probably not a conscious design decision but rather a side effect of JSA effectively being a sectorial under the NA2 umbrella.
Wasnt there also rumors about rem racing as a sub game of infinity? Based on some community made rules?
I think CB joked about making REM Racers as a kickstarter after how good Aristeia or Defiance was, but it never went further than that.
There is a REM Racing fan game that gets played at Interplanetario, much like TAG Deathmatch and Dog Bowl. The Fat Yuan Yuan Santa also has a REM Racers box on his motorbike IIRC. As for why JSA doesn't get them, I assume it's because they're only really available to Vanilla armies.
