I wanna reiterate that the HMG is a huge buff to the Shang Ji. Getting that 2W firepower in your Zhanshi core is massive, even if you don't get the extra TA order out of it. This opens up unusual (for IA) list building options that lets you take an aggressive Zuyong Haris to hold the midfield. I could see IA doing really well just solely based on getting a 2w HMG in a cheap core.

They could really really use a Long Ya to help bulk up their weak DZ defense, but in general Shang Ji are extremely worth using, even in IA, and especially in WB.

Long Ya in Invincible would be a dream. Please make it happen CB... why keep the remote Sectorial exclusive?

 

Can we get Jujak or Tian Gou while we're at it? I'd settle for AVA 1, even.

The changes to the ShangJi benefit the IA but not WB, which is a good thing.
1st: You cannot put Quang Gao into a Zhanshi Core in IA, so you would need the ShangJi there.
2nd: The HRL is a good option in the LI Zuyong Core. This core link is mobile in general, so that extra order helps them more than the Zhanshis.

These guys have a whoopin 10 orders under their belt and can deal with any threat except E/M2 and Jammers.

 

Exactly! Plus the ShanJi HRL is actually a great piece, because it carries a shotgun. When you need to turn that corner and blast a conga-line, he can do it quite well, or he can blast fire at longer range from cover while advancing. TBH, I really feel bad for the ML Zuyong now, he got relegated to the shelf.

If you include the mandatory Daoying (for a total of 206 points), you have 11 orders in 6 models, 11 wounds, and the cost for each order was about 19 points (each). That is very, very good in my opinion.

Digging the tortoise aesthetic, sets the m apart from the other HI. Really hope they can set it apart rulewise as well, especially from Zuyongs. Maybee 6-4 movement now that 6-2 seems to be the new standard.

 

Sooooo happy they kept the helmet-neck style of the old ShanJi. Love it.

 

It looks a bit bulkier than the standard HI. That's a fine design, really.

 

Multi rifle in the AHD profile is just a nerf. It means more expensive and the loss of versatility the LFT offered. :(
