    Hey guys,

I was just wondering. JSA seems to be the most relavant and popular army in NA2, that seems to have a larger player base than the rest of it. It is probably due to the wonderful redesign of the faction + ex Yu Jing players who mostly played it and stayed with it. Probably some players like me main another faction and add JSA for more flavor (all Nomads + JSA for me).

Do you guys think that it might be possible in the the future (N4) that JSA will become a full Faction with new releases? If it's popular and it has a decent playerbase then maybe, one day we'll see more and maybe a Vanilla + Sectorials idea that fit the fluff (unlike Ikari etc)

    Cheers, Lothair

I hope it becomes a PanO sectorial, that would be the biggest anime betrayal.

I'd be surprised if they moved out of NA2, as the whole point of NA2 is for factions too small to be a full fledged Vanilla faction. I also don't really see them expanding JSA to the point it could bear a second sectorial.

On the other hand, I can also see them including JSA and Spiral Corps in Code One as independent factions (as Code One won't have sectorials).

I was saying PanO, because the JSA models already have PanO weaponry and were "saved" by PanO. :stuck_out_tongue:

as far as i understand the lore (was reading it for an rpg campaign recently,) PanO wasn't the only faction helping them as private companies and other G5 members supplied logistics either covertly or overtly. PanO being the rival hyperpower had the navy to back them up by activity blockading Yu Jing's access to JSA settlements outside of the state's boundaries.

model wise the only PanO weapons i can see are the specialist keisotsu and a tanko ML, the rest is standard YJ

Taking JSA from YJ to give to PanO would probably cause even worse backlash than the uprising itself. Taking a sectorial from the faction with the least of them, and giving it to the faction with the most would be almost openly antagonistic.

As a faction on their own, JSA is spread too thin and likely too lacking in supplies or logistics to be anything other than a blip on the radar. They exist to weaken YJ, not to be a bigger player in their own right.

That said I guess we should thank them for leaving, as it has prevented IS from getting scrapped to make room for White Banner.

No no no, the JSA can't go anywhere before we've properly and uncontestedly whooped their treacherous ass during an online campaign!

Maybe everything will get 2 wounds in N4, the Daofei will be added, Shang Ji get a profile adjustment with their sweet new design and it will all be OK again...

To me JSA is the embodiment of the perfect NA2 sectorial. It's a tiny nation in terms of political clout, they're used by other factions for political gain, and their political alignment is completely different from the others almost guaranteeing them of having no true friends who'll back them up no matter what. But most of all, JSA is not a lame excuse of a "merc" sectorial filled with the refuse of primary factions, and that is a lot of goodwill in my book.
The impression I got is that they're aiming for around 4 or 5 sectorials for the main factions as the upper limit, mostly limited by SKU use. JSA, in spite of being very SKU intensive, would've fit no problems.

    Thanks guys for the replies.

It seems unlikely, though I still hope one of the following will happen:

    1. JSA will get 1-3 more models/profiles in N4 to keep its player base going.
    2. Japan will become a new faction (Nomads, my main faction, are smaller fluffwise I believe, so who knows).
    3. More proper NA2 armies like JSA or Druze will appear, and not just merc lists from all around the Sphere.

I just hope that whatever happens, JSA will remain true to its weaknesses (especially the lack of long ranged firepower) and strenghts. Ever since I've learned how to play them properly I love seeing how different they play compared to nomads and what can the achieve in CC and close distance.

I think YJ is in a way more interesting place today than it was pre-Uprising. JSA ate up a lot of design space (not that JSA was remarkably flexible, more that most sectorials didn't have all the tools JSA did), and IA came in and took up part of that. Now you get WB to make new design choices.

PanO and YJ are both remarkable in that after the new box they will be the only two major factions in the game with two post-Druze sectorials.
