Stars of Dahshat

I've lately been going with a defensive Ghulam core in my lists and they do their job quite well. They can be easily wildcarded with Sforza or Miranda or any other bounty hunter. Such links usually stay in my DZ to snipe the unprotected/important enemy pieces.

You may or may not want to switch Rui Shi from the first combat group to the second, or exchange EVO Kameel for Valerya to buy a Nasmat for your Dozer on the remaining points. Hulang is also situational, most of the time I'd go with Zhencha SMG. But if you have some sort of DataTracker-specific mission, Hulang's definitely your guy as he always has solid chances of surviving pretty much anything that's not a full 16BS HMG link team. Both Zhencha and Hulang are equally great for objective grabbing and caving in skulls alike. Saito also fills this niche somewhat, although in Dahshat he can only be used as a killer/assassin model and not as a specialist, but, at the one game I did field him, he jumped on the Sphinx from his hidden deployment in ARO and forced it to shoot him instead of my link team, so he can be a great deterrent for an opponent facing a model that is about to engage your ~100pts unit and maul it to death.

I haven't tried using Hunzakuts yet, but I am eager to test them out once I get the miniatures.

 

Oh, you'll like the Hunzacuties. Never leave home without them.

 

Not sure if having repeaters is that useful for a faction without a single KHD, but a cheap 18pts specialist with mines and Rifle+LSG definitely looks great and cost-effective!

 

Defending is a good thing but your list seems lacking of anything to do objectives/kills in active turn except Mc Murrough.
personnally Not a huge fan of this list because no middle field libertos minelayer/ hunzacut fo a ruishi but outside a fireteam.. no hacker ..
I think you may be in trouble if your opponent outrange your fireteam's ml in his active turn with a to camo sniper. In few orders your bots will go down, your fireteam will be quickly a 4 man fireteam... as you have not midfield your oppponent will be able to perform his objectives quietly...

 

I had a choice between him and Miranda, but full links tend to be a pain to park in the midfield, and you do your opponent a favor so that he spends fewer orders killing it. Right now I'm trying to make solo midfield pieces work, hence the Hulang, McMurrough, and the unlinked Rui Shi. Sforza has the benefit of the X-Visor, so in full link, he hits with 4 dice on 13s against anything that has cover up to 32". I may want to add to the link a spare Ghulam or bounty hunter to refill the fireteam once the aro pieces are gone. Miranda is a valid option here too, but I usually take her in a haris with odalisques and someone else.
