    Hi!

I just started with Infinity, and I'm trying to build my first 300pt list with Pano, but I'm pretty lost. I know I want a TAG as my center offensive piece, but I'm not very clear on how to support it properly. My main opponent plays USAriadna if that helps.

Any ideas, tips, example lists? Thanks!

Tags to 200pts are hard to include, but still you can try the Tikbakang or the Seraph, even the Squalo or the Dragao, even playing sectorial in Neoterra can fix an Ulano. But all your force will be in the TAG.

This could be something you can play to 200 pts with a TAG

Thanks! I'll try to keep an eye on this.
Another question, what's the point on having palbots for the Machinist? I've read the rules but maybe i'm missing something.

It is as your machinist stay in two places at the same time... :) You can place the machinist in one spot more or less secure and you only put in danger the "palbot". You can use the "machinist" hability to fix things with the little robot as it were the the machinist himself. Remember you can attach many palbots as you wish until disponibility. In vainilla is two.

Now i Fully understand the potential :) Tanks! I'm tryng to use a decent Tag into MO at 200 but is like impossible... why they remove the possibility of OS to be Lieutenant?

They have never been able to be lieutenant. MO had Fusiliers back then with possibility to be cheap LT for 10 points.

I am by no means an expert, but at 200 points with a Tag you are probably better off in Vanilla. Fireteams are the real advantage of a sectorial which you're probably not going to leverage well with the remaining points. Vanilla has better lieutenant options, Cheaper/ higher ava cheerleaders and if you pick Joan as your lieutenant you can bring a helot and a monstrucker on top of the warcor/Techbee combo to help fill out you list. I'd probably suggest using the 9 point helot in Decoy as it will at least give your paper thin cheer squad the appearance of defense. As Bonus, a 10 order Joan list with a tag plays closer to 12 orders as you have tactical awareness & a free coordinated order from inspiring leadership. For Example:

Key things I'd consider here are:

1 - The PalBots for the Doctor and Engineer are very valuable. They increase the speed, reach and survivability of two of your key support pieces far beyond their cost.

2 - The Bounty Hunter Sniper has been totally replaced in the role described in the article by the Helot. Don't take the former 'till you've already got the latter.

3 - The Nisse Hacker is a great all-rounder piece for specialist Classified scenarios where you need broad capabilities on units, but it's not worth taking for a list like this. The 18 pt Fusilier is far better for what you need here.

4 - The Bagh-Mari is a useful cheap support piece ('though the Kamau HMG likely is better for the points overall in that role) but not as a Lt. Take a pair of Fusiliers for more orders and better protection (and less SWC) for a lower cost.

5 - Leave the solo ORC HMG for Sectorials (like Varuna) which don't have better options. In a TAG primary list you are better off considering the likes of the Bulleteer or Kamau HMG for backup firepower.

Last, but not least, you need to buy 2-3 boxes of DroneBot Remotes as soon as you can. The Fugazi and Pathfinder are cornerstones of good PanOceanian play. You'll want to field a Sierra or two sooner rather than later as well.

Thanks! I've re-read the article and this, and come with the following. I'm a little lost in a few things:

    - Do I need both hackers?
    - Do I have enough units to deal with CH, smoke and mines?
    - Is there any preferred way of splitting units? Maybe put the Kamau HMG into the second group so I use it more offensively?
    - I don't have a lot of people with CH: TO, but I couldn't figure out a way to have the points to put something like Croc Men in.

1: They are both useful, keep them if you can.

2: You probably have as much to help with that as you are going to get in this kind of build.

3: I'd usually suggest that you have an attack option in Group 2, but in this case I think you would be better off with the two Hackers in there (swap them for the Auxilia) making it a pure support group.

4: You can't do everything in every list. That is the fastest way to screw up a Vanilla list. Don't try to run lots of TO with a TAG.

Now, if you are going to upgrade your Helot (and it's not a terrible place to spend some SWC for a list like this) then go for the Red Fury. It's going to give you the best edge when you drop your surprise. And it will be enough for you to upgrade that MuleBot to a second Fusilier (so your opponent has to guess who your Lt is).

Do that, and you have a solid list to play with. Get out there and play some games.

Thanks a lot for the great advice! Another question if you don't mind: to run a TAG list, is it vanilla the best option, or better go for a sectorial? I don't think I have enough people to make a fire team, but not sure if I'm missing something else here.

    Both can be solid.

You've got a solid defensive Fireteam with good mine defense. This is going to offer an outstanding starting position for your TAG to fight from, a very difficult defensive position for your opponent to crack to get to your key piece.

It's also got a great order base, good backup combat option, solid support. It doesn't have a regular Hacker, which I'd prefer to have available (and is a sacrifice you are making from Vanilla) but overall this has worked very well for me and I've run variants of it for a little over a year to great success.

As an example of how I might build a Cutter list today (and the kind of list I'll include when I update the article) in Vanilla would be:

    Example Cutter

I'm consciously sacrificing a backup attack piece in return for better support. I also don't have the Killer Hacker. But what I do have is a premium TAG which won't be vulnerable to alpha strike plays at all and a solid bunker of orders and support to fight it from.

I'am really agree with what @AdmiralJCJF said, his examples are really good. Both, Vainilla or Sectorial have advantages and disavantages. To me Sectorials allow a better defense of our "main piece aka the TAG", but in order to do this we are required most of the time to include a five members fireteam, so we will have only a few spots in our list to others troups/profiles plus we will have to place 5 miniatures in a close space, so our chances to cover a big surface of our deployment area aren't so good. In Vainilla we can include more options and we can allow us a wider deployment, for example.

Thank you so much to both of you. And thanks a lot for the Cutter list, it looks great (and I really like the Cutter too), so very appreciated. Now time to get the minis and get some games :)
