New FAQ dropped this morning. Patsy just received the additional line "Patsy is considered an ORC for fireteam composition." This means Patsy can no longer create a Haris link with the Varuna Division Machinist. The Machinist's rules state that it can join any Kamau link. Our new toolbox link is now broken.

While this is true, one of the biggest draws of the original link was that you could include a heavy hitter like the Kamau HMG or HRL to move the other two specialists up to the midfield. Now, you miss out on that firepower.
I'm confused as to why this breaks it - what am I missing?. Why can't you declare that Patsy + Kamau HMG is a Kamau haris team? It's not like Patsy ever counted as a Kamau before - the fact that she's an ORC now shouldn't change anything.
There's been another FaQ that says that a Haris is a Haris of the troop with the Haris skill, so a Patsy Haris is considered an ORC Haris and a machinist can't join.
As of today's Errata the Fireteam type is determined by the trooper with the skill. Also Patsy now counts as an ORC (and still Wildcard) So if Patsy is the only one with the Haris skill then it's an ORC Haris and the Machinist can't join.
Because of this FAQ. Since Patsy is now classified specifically as an ORC, and is the one bearing the Haris skill, ant Haris team she forms is classified as an "ORC Haris."
I suppose you could just run a Kamau forward observer instead of the machinist - it's a 4 pt increase and you lose D-Charges, but a burst 2 flash pulse with mimetism ain't terrible

This is really stupid. That haris is not a game breaker. It’s okay. It’s not amazing. Why take it away? Why take a thing that players have been using and build a loophole that denies them that thing?
You're actually better off ditching Patsy in this link and including the Machinist to repair the Clippers
Patsy has a long range flash pulse ARO, plus Nimbus Plus to combat enemy Fireteams, is an emergency specialist, and has NCO if she needs to make a break for the objective.
I'd want the Machinist outside the link so it doesn't provoke AROs to the entire team when he tries to fix the remote.
It's possible that it wasn't initially intended. But, I agree that it is a shame. I only just finished painting up my Machinist Conversion to join the Haris team. Oh well.
