If the mate is 100% of the time "active" until the roll is forced (so it acts against hacking without being spent, I think), then the roll is forced, but you suffer no effects from it => triggers the removal condition If the mate is "passive until tirggered", then the Total Inmunity is not active until the mate is, so the Flash Pulse triggers the mate, and no roll is made, but the mate is discarded at the end.

Ah, right. SymbioMate is suffering from repeat redundancy. It applies ARM/BTS/TI twice, both passively and also has another trigger when suffering an attack.

There's not really a trigger effect for the arm/bts bonus and TI skill. It's more a trigger effect for the spending of the mate. If you don't have to roll for a ARM/BTS roll, your arm value is irrelevant ,as you don't need to check it. Since you have to chech arm or bts then you do it with value 9 and TI, thus consuming the mate. IMHO
Yeah, failed to notice that you are permanentlly ARM/BTS9 Total Immunity as long as the Mate is Active. So Flashpulse hits on their own don't trigger the Mate
However, I do note that a SymbioMate-equipped trooper can fall up to its first MOV value with very little risk; DAM 10 vs ARM 9 and the fall damage is not an attack so it won't end the SymbioMate state unless you roll a 1 enough times to get your Symbiont inactive (since the state requires an active Symbiont) See @spears post later in the thread.
