There is a Scylla KHD with her trusty Devabot under the cover of cybermask (both of them). Scylla is activated and her devabot rushes forward into ZoC of enemy hacker (Celestial Guard HD) (lets say they never had LoF to each one). Enemy poor hacker can either straight up declare change facing/reset/ or delay (because there is a camo marker activated in ZoC). Now the question is is poor Celestial Guard HD allowed to ARO against Scylla as he actually declared "delay" aro against devabot ? (I mean when Scylla as 2nd part of her order uses Maestro/Redrum) Is Celestial Guard allowed to Sucker Punch Scylla or only declare Reset as an ARO ?
Celestial Guard is explicitly not allowed to use the Repeater as it is in marker state and the Ghost Synch must lose its IMP state in order to allow the Deva to use its Repeater. The Celestial Guard must delay against the Deva in order to be allowed to Sucker-Punch. I don't think the CG will be able to, unless the CG has direct LOF to the Deva or if the Deva moves in the CG's ZOC. That said, this is another case of the Stealth and ZoC shenanigans. Is it enough that a model gains an ARO against activated models or do they need to be able to declare skills targeting the secondary enemy to be allowed to Delay against it?
Simple: Cybermask grants Impersonation, Impersonation grants Surprise Shot, Surprise Attack and STEALTH So the Impersonated Devabot has not generated any ARO, because his player has not declared "move without using stealth", and there is no LoF. --------------- Now, on what would happen if the CG perceived the cybermasked devabot (Sixth Sense N2 for being part of a link, or the Devabot declared to not be using stealth), the CG would Delay ARO.
Then we repeat situation and Scylla is cybermasked and Devabot is not. Is Celestial Guard forced into only "reset" or blackout Devabot (and hope he somehow survies incoming Redrum/Maestro) ? Thing which Aleph can do are getting more and more hilarious ^^
That's still the same situation :p Can I delay against your Marker (not in LoF nor ZoC) if one of your non-Markers move into my ZoC during a coordinated order?
So it is as I thought :) Thanks for help (wanted to ensure that this kinda broken interaction is actually valid one). Frak one day I will just make a small Aleph list just to annoy the frak out of the peeople....
Well that was the only way for PanO to get any kind of rule schnanenigas, to borrow Aleph unit ... (which kinda does tell much)
This thread is pertinent to this discussion when combined with this one about Coordinated orders and markers Delay is focused on a specific ARO generating unit . If you Delayed on the Charybdid Devabot you would have no ARO available to Scylla. I think the first link would determine that you would not gain an ARO against Scylla if you chose no ARO on the bot due to the way that G:Synch works, but that might be superseded by the Scylla revealing. Not sure which would take precedence there.
