I too like the design as well. Though I think the HRL Riot Grrl is not the right sculpt for a Spitfire Grrl. However it fits perfectly on the new Hellcat.
Sorry I don't quite follow. Maybe a I missed a release. To my knowledge (and human-sphere is my go to place for that, altough google image search is sometime helpfull), the released riot grrls are : the new bakunin starter. the new riot SWC box which only have 3 models. the old riot SWC box. the old Riot Spitfire single blister. Which google image shows that it is released in both a grey background and blue background but the model itself looks the same like if it is just a re-packaging, not re-sculpt. So once you have 1 new from the starter and 3 new from the SWC box, where are you suppose to get another new Riot from ? splitting a starter or a SWC box with a friend ? Or i missed a release I don't see in google image search. (above is a picture from waylandgaming store, below is the old riot grrl we already had a long time ago)
I would say that they do play very differently, the lack of warbands in Tunguska and the existence of a cheap and strong LI link in Tunguska are the big ones.
What I meant was to make a conversion using a newer Riot Grrl body (Boarding Shotgun or Combi-Rifle) with an older or newer Spitfire.
Played today against a Hollowman Link. Holy S*** are they strong. Bevor this Evening, I would have said you should play Bakunin, but now I would recommend you should get the Tunguska starter, the Hollowman box, the single Heckler, the Interventor blister or Box and the Support Box for the Engineer and the Zondmate. It's definitely a LI sectorial, but with strong options.
Here's a Bakunin list I ran yesterday for an objective-heavy mission. It's what I'd consider a "side B" list for Bakunin - a light, spread out force to accomplish objectives as opposed to a Riot Grrl based "side A" list to beat the shit out of things. Bakunin models, on average, are not very strong or capable. Their stats are really underwhelming and they struggle in straight fights. In exchange, the models are cheap and you can afford to prepare for every situation, and you get some super-efficient picks, like the Riot Grrl, Zero, and Morlock. Bakunin is a great pick if you want to play a deep, thick force with tons of recovery. Tunguska models are individually far stronger. They don't boot their rolls the way Bakunin does. When you send a Kriza out you can be pretty confident he won't randomly shit the bed and need backup. In exchange, though, Tunguska has to live with clear weaknesses: you suck at CC, you can't dodge, and you'll usually be outnumbered.
