I understand that you're doing RAW rules interpretation, but why you ignore "Short Skill" label of surprise attack then?
It can go either way. On one hand, it's one of the oldest TAG sculpts. On the other, it aged really well and is pretty popular with players. I'd expect a resculpt, but not very soon.
Triangulated Fire: BS Attack: The complete order Triangulated Fire lets you make the short order BS attack as part of the resolution of the complete order, following the rules of BS attack, you then declare that you are using Surprise Shot special skill when doing the BS attack, the short skill lablel of surprise shot doesn't mean you can't use it when doing TF as TF lets you use the short skill BS Attack as part of its resolution. (Sorry for the broken english)
And how the hell are you using simple Speculetive Fire now ? It says you it's a long skill but you have to do BS attack (short skill) with a -6 mod etc. ?
It is separate skill, which works "alike" but does a little bit different. Using your logic, Speculative Fire combined With Surprise shot should be short skill then...

Because. No seriously, Surprise Shot is badly implemented. Think of it as a MOD and move on. Everytime anything about Surprise Shot is discussed this is the answer.
and all of them are bad Don't get me wrong Varuna itself seems very playable... ... in a similar way as JSA, avoid (almost) all HI and you're good. Patsy might be decent and PanO TAGs are still PanO TAGs.
I disagree completely, ORCs - and their officer - will be very useful. Also: We can make a proper HI that has 2W, Stealth, and can shoot straight, eat that, YJ! :P
What does Patsy form a Haris of? She has the Haris skill, what can join her team? I have a little module of her, Kamau HMG and Kamau Hacker as an all-Wildcard team that does everything.
The one thing that was bad for Orcs happened, they got even more expensive. Go leave me be with baseless optimisim and let me be salty for today. Sure you can slap that overpriced Orc in a weird ass mixed team and call it good, but that's just the other 4 guys carrying his ass with 5 team benefits. Fuck Orcs seriously, why are they still paying for PH14 ARM4 when the friggin KothS doesn't anymore? This update is a major disappointment across all 3 affected PanO Sectorials. At least Varuna is still very playable aside the stuff from today and YJ looks rather good tho, booooy those new IA troops are rad.
