Also, it doesn't kick in if Santiago was linked at the time. Even Duo makes them more level-headed, if I remember correctly.
Btw. newest rumors: - Tikbalang might get DA CCW in MO, question if it loses Mimetism is still open - Seraph might be splitted to 2 versions, cheaper without the Auxbot and more expensive with an Auxbot (damn hopefully that means Auxbot is getting SuperJump or at least "SuperAgility")
Yay for the Seraph. Having the flexibility of Auxbot or not is quite nice, as is being able to participate in Coordinated Orders without having to suicide the bot. Tik losing Mimetism would be pretty goofy. Not sure why they would do that, other than “because they can”. DACCW is nice quality of life but not anything to get excited for. Very excited to see all the changes next month regardless. All the spoilers point to a massive upgrade for the sectorial, which was by no means handicapped before.
I really hope the Seraph options are HMG or Spitfire, and at that point I won't care about the anchor!
True. There was no other long ranged high burst weapon in MO, so a Light TAG with HMG is a nice addicion, but not at all needed if the Sheraph can fill in that role
Effective PH19 Eclipse grenades? I'd like it but I don't think my opponents would be fond! Like the Crusader Brethren?
Nobodies talking much about Dart being in MO. She SUCH a good harassing unit. E/M grenades that are easy to get across the board. Backup Dart with a peacemaker and you have a nice little strike team.
She's a bizzare addition that really helps strengthen our anti camo play and midfield strength and giving us a second source of em grenades
My main concerns about new MO is actually the lack of Fusiliers. With them gone you're missing 3 Order monkeys who can be backfield Lt with basic shell games, provide Fairy Dust and unlock REM. Since Hospitalers are what is getting cheaper to get the box to 300 points OS remain the same cost, although their Profiles may be reworked a la Securitate. Having your Lt up the field without backup and/or obvious is always a rather catastrophic problem. Truth be told MO might be utter and complete garbage in my book if I'm doomed to run a Link of 5 HI and an obvious unsecured Santiago Lt at 14 Orders. CoC for an expensive Knight you'll want forward or in the Link is also not an option. So at this point OS need to provide a Lt Profile or CoC to seriously keep MO running. Problem is this seem rather antithematic and unlikely. What I'm working with as a worst case scenario is running a Joan Lt every game. And I'm really not looking forward to that.
Problem is that hitting 14 orders with Fusiliers gone is extremaly hard. Small link (Hosp+Mag) was already on verge when taking 14 orders (you had to take Baggage bots, and then have Warcor as semi-efficient order battery). After the initial hype went away, we might actually see MO downgrade a bit (from strict power-play perspective) while being able to run different yet comptetetive lists. Case is most of those lists will be probably 10 order lists.
Wat. We might lose Fusi Lt, but fielding at least two possible Lt. knights - plus possibly some misdirection in form of Sepulchre - should be fairly straightforward. OS are just as good cheerleaders as Fusis were, don't tell me those 3 pts will make this much of a difference. And we didn't lose access to EVO last time I've checked, it's much better support hacker than a Fusi.
I've been saying this in my group and they just tell me I'm crazy and MO is just going to be the best thing ever. Losing fusiliers make our orders somewhat more expensive and makes our lieutenant options more difficult. Still, I think it is cool we don't need them anymore. Also we know about the new things we are getting, but we don't know if we are losing more things also. I always heard that TO sergeants were made somehow as a "patch" to make MO playable... Well, what if MO playstyle changes so much that they remove them? With this in mind, having always Joanne or a Santiago Knight as lieutenant doesn't sound great. But we might get more viable knight lieutenant options, and maybe some expensive CoC knight to help with that (looking at Sepulchre). So no need for a cheap lieutenant hiding in a corner. We are already getting better and faster specialists like montesas on bikes and KHD Santiagos... So maybe they decide we don't need an Order Sergeant FO TO anymore. Maybe we also get something like a crusader brethren hacker, given that falling from the skies sounds more knightly than hiding in TO. All considered I really hope this rework means more fun, options, and different playstyles for MO. And not necessarily more powerful, just more knightly.
