Can understand hesitation without testing and looking into it. Both answers change how useful a first turn very strong alpha is. New strategies are potentially created if first turn is that strong. Which may be a bad thing.

It seems like early retreat pre-empting the cold would really unbalance the mission to the first player given the ruling on taking consoles from your opponent doesn't allow you to change the active heating unit.

What I was thinking, but if it isnt 100% reliable (and instead it becomes a game of it) then it instead gives someone a double or nothing plan on how to play this scenario.

But not sure which side it leans on. So with testing and thought, all good on either answer.

Balanced, to an extent, with the "you need to mark the consoles for your side ASAP instead of killing enemies", but the enemy can turn it into a "rocks falls, everybody dies" by simply breaking enemy consoles in his last turn...

There are no Specialist listed for Power Pack.

    In Hunting Party it states:
"MULTI BS Weapons can use Stun Mode to shoot Stun Special Ammunition."
Now all weapons with the multi trait already have a Stun mode with burts 1.
Is this text redundant or is it intended that the Stun-mode has full burst in Hunting Party?

@Bobman thx for collecting all qestions and answers. But Engineering deck has 5 consoles according to the text: "[...] There is a fifth Console placed in the center of the Objective Room."

and if anyone at CB reads this: It would be nice to have bookmarks in the pfds to jump to the Missions quickly.

It's a reminder that MULTI weapons have Stun mode.

Afaik that might be a relic from ITS8(?) when Rescue was introduced.
Back then Multi Weapons already had Stun, but the Mission had to allow its use.

Since then Stun has been added as a Standard Ammunition Type without conditions.

When it comes to scoring missions with more than 10 points possible to achieve, when does the knock down to 10 happen? There's been some confusion in an upcoming event, and the TO hasn't given a clear answer.
I've been of the idea that you sum up all your points, and then knock it down to 10 if you're over. But some people have some concerns that you cap at 10, and then if you fail to do the Xenotech Multiscanner objective, that knocks you down to 9.

Engineering Deck and Frontline have both +1 point for the Xenotech placing a scanner and -1 point for the Xenotech not placing the scanner. Is this 2 point swing intended?

    Other Xenotech scenarios:
    • Acquisition: only -1 for not placing
    • Power Pack: +2 points for placing it in a particular zone; -1 for not placing it at all.

    Unmasking.

    ACTIVATE CONSOLE (SHORT SKILL)
    LABELS Attack.
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Only Specialist Troops can declare this Skill.
    • The Specialist Troop must be in base contact with a Console.
    EFFECTS
    • Allows the Specialist Troop to make a Normal WIP Roll to Activate the Console.
    • If the roll is failed, this can be repeated as many times as necessary, each time spending the corresponding Short Skill and making the roll.
    • When activating the Console, the player may choose one of the enemy HVTs and the adversary must Reveal if it is the Designated Target, or if it is one of the Target Decoys.
    • An Activated Console cannot be Activated again to Reveal another HVT.
    • An Activated Console can be Activated again by the other player, applying the same procedure. In such a situation, the Console is no longer considered to be Activated by the adversary.
    • Player A and Player B Markers can be used to mark the Activated Consoles. It is recommended each player uses a different kind of Marker.

The red and blue highlighted points are a bit confusing.
Once i activated a Console and revealed a HVT, i cannot activate it again.
But my opponent could, and now it is no longer considered activated by me.
So i can activate it again to reveal a different HVT...

    Am I right?

No. You can Activate it again, but 'cannot ... Reveal another HVT'.

Ok. take notice that this sentence
    • An Activated Console cannot be Activated again to Reveal another HVT.
should be changed to something like
    • Any further successful Activation of a Console don't Reveal another HVT.
    or something along the way

Actually on that note. The wording implies that only 3 total HVTs can be identified, not 3 each player. Kind of like in Frostbyte.

Is that correct? If so I've been playing it wrong all along.

I'm confident the part about "can be Activated again by the other player, applying the same procedure." implies that each console has 1 reveal per player.

Did some digging and it seems that is almost how I interpreted it before (my difference was that nothing was stopping you both from alternating activations and revelas) and no one contradicted it. I'm going to keep on then.

In Season 9, scenery items were ruled as not repairable by an Engineer:

    upload_2018-10-26_19-22-3.png

But in the wiki, the Damaged state specifically refers to being able to repair scenery
    http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Damaged

So are we to assume that for things like Frostbyte, there is no repairing of heaters due to the Season 9 rule carrying over to Season 10 (and therefore assuming here that Objectives are the exception to scenery mentioned in the Damaged state?)
