Is the 1pt for having the DataTracker inside the objective room a misprint? Datatracker isn't listed anywhere else in the mission set up or parameters as far as I can see.

And the mission points add up to 11pts with a Datatracker which doesn't seem right.

Given that we have nearly 100 views on this thread and nobody has piped up I feel like we need a higher power here to clarify things. @HellLois could you please confirm whether the multi scanner or the data tracker isn't supposed to be in this mission or are we supposed to score with a potential 11pts for the objectives?

To have more connected consoles should be 4 points and have your DataTracker inside the Secured Objective Room, should be the xenotech.

Can you steal the opponents xeno tech and secure the room with it or does it have to be your xeno tech? Does the xeno tech have to be in synced state or just there?

Shouldn't the section about the datatracker just be deleted? Then we'd be at 10 points for the mission.

Yeah, but then you wouldn't be given things to do with the xenotech, beyond place a multiscanner. Also there's way too much emphasis on points for consoles. This way if you neglect the room but get more consoles you only get a draw if your opponent gets the room with his xenotech, you're both on 4pts.

I don't understand why a lot of points for consoles is a bad thing - I always understood that as the focus for the mission. In any case, @HellLois 's modifications beg the question as to *why* they're so different from what's actually in the document.

My guess would be that it was tried, and it was found that it wasn't as fun if people were just ignoring the objective room for the most part. I mean, why even bother making it an objective room mission if you get more points for ignoring it.

*shug* I've played it, I think what they came up with is one of the better missions in the pack. There's alot going on, alot of choices to make and different options to take with the missions. For me that player agency is what makes it alot of fun. It doesn't railroad you into "DO THIS OBJECTIVE AT ALL COSTS FOR MAXIMUM VIABILITY TO WIN."
