Hello, A question arose from conversation in PanOceania subforum. In Infinity Army all CSU profiles have "Fireteam: Duo" special rule. However it seems that PDF for NCA sectorial listing doesn't give CSUs any fireteam options. Not even that Duo. So which takes precedence? This links to the question about new Deva profiles. According to PDFs only Deva Haris is linked as OSSS-only profile, so according to that FO and AHD profiles should be allowed in NCA. However according to Army those are not. Would it be possible to have clear ruling on this one way or another? @ijw, @Koni, @HellLois
Deva profiles is going to have to come from Koni or HellLois. For Fireteams, the option must be listed in the Sectorial's chart of Fireteams, whether the trooper has the Skill isn't relevant.
So you are saying I have been playing it incorrectly using CSU with duo in NCA. SIGH that's so so so poorly written. It has Duo but can't duo...jeez that's unecessarily restrictive. Don't give it duo in its profile if it cannot do so give it duo only in the factions that Can...just like certain spektyr profiles are only available in TJC....
just give them the duo, does it really need the "Oh sorry we didnt update you" knife twisted harder? @ijw really bodes well for ASA doesnt it when CB cant even keep NCA up to date as a living sectorial
yeah, doesn't really make a ton of sense to me. They really should be able to, I don't think it's too much of a balance issue tbh
Are you able to give them a slight nudge for an update of the Profiles PDF (so that you can update the Wiki)? There are plenty of instances of options being available in Army that are not in the PDFs, which suggests that they are already out of date and there could be the intention for link options that aren't shown. For example, PDF still does not give NCA access to Aida Swanson, PDF doesn't list ISS having access to CSU... But these troops are available via Army.
Doesn't having duo on thier profile let you use EVO hacking to make them into a duo regardless of sectorial options?
Well, thanks for being clear and direct @ijw I may not like the answer, I may fully agree with @daboarder that it's a bullshit answer, I may think that it's telling regarding the likelihood of quality support in the future, But it's better to know clearly what the answer is intended to be.
I think we can agree that this is a natural inclusion for NCA. I'd like us to find ways to put this in front of CB.
good luck with that, CB is likely to just not respond and the wider community is likely to just label it more "PanO whining"
didnt the duo get added specifically for ISS, thats just legitimately funny. Does seem like the List of fireteams wasnt updated when DUO was added to the CSU profile. @ijw thoughts?
