I would scrap the Guardian S4 two minis on one base thing. Not because I hate Guardian as a skill, I don't (less good than CC but probably cheaper) or because S4 is intolerable and/or unworkable (it's not and it also brings a discount) but because these should be two distinct Synchronised minis. Two combatants on one base with conbined stats doesn't otherwise exist in the game and doesn't feel right. Andromeda should be a S2 shooter with a S3 Synchronised rob-dog. The existing mini is beautiful but mechanically feels clunky.
New Strelec with K9 makes Guardian look really pathetic and unnecessary. Why was this skill even created ?
It sounded cool on paper. It sounds cool on paper. It may even have sounded cool in playtesting. But - It's underwhelming as a very underwhelming thing on the table.
My thought, and I could be completely wrong, is, that they assumed, a mini diorama would be fun for the players to build and paint. That the rule for this hardly makes sense is the backdraw.
This has probably been mentioned before, but I would make full auto not work on the reactive turn Symbiont armor should be removed with no save on contact with fire MSV1 should be able to see through smoke with a penalty MSV3 should either be significantly cheaper or given some other form of bonus White and/or Defensive hacking devices should be given programs to more effectively counter to KHDs I do agree that guardian units (Just 2 so far AFAIK, Voronin and Andromeda) should have just been G:Sync
I would love to see Assault either being reworked or dropping LoF requirement. As it stands now its almost dead skill (only usefull in The Grid to charge beetween antennas).
Why is Minesweeper so rubbish? Someone who is really good at dodging is better at removing mines than a dedicated piece of equipment designed to do a single job. Minesweepers true purpose is to hose AI beacons, which just feels kind of weird to me. Give me a good minesweeper. How about let me roll FTF against the mine detonating with the minesweeer? Or remove the LoF requirement? Something please. And give it to PanO.
Engineers have also minesweeper Edit: sry, it seems to be, I'm wrong Edit2: mixed up deactivator and minesweeper
Me too, which is why I had to add an extra comment... It feels to me like the FO Rems with deactivators should be actually good at minesweeping. Like, do it in a single order safely kind of good. It takes a short skill to put a mine down, it's fair to allow it to be a single short skill to remove so long as you have the proper tool.
Agreed. Andromeda and Voronin both having a G: Synch guard dog sounds way more fun. Plus you could make Andromeda's dog a REM with STR and some neat abilities.
Why? I think it's fine, being able to have markers sneak up behind people is important Why would removing this improve the game, in your opinion?
I think facing is one of the best parts about Infinity. Making decisions about it often doesn't have an obvious right answer, it influences the game dramatically, therefore it makes the game more interesting.
I understand facing can be a pain during deployment and can be a big consequence for what feels like a small decision.
Just draw LOF from the back of the base, it solves the issues with facing while preserving the ability to exploit it (albeit making it more difficult).
