You're aware that either shock SMG or viral bow will outright kill the fusilier if it scores a wound ? The "2 wounds" things is the way the dice tool express "killed by one wound causing lethal damages"
ooh...wow...well... it is so hard to outflank a guy. I don't know against whom you were playing. But whom are you going to shoot in back in middle line? A camo in a corner in prone surronded by mines? An odd locust? This is such a situational weapon, where so many good planets on a sky need to arrange for it to shine ;( In expirienced play - this is a very difficult weapon to use. With one die you can miss, your enemy survives attack and uses warning! rule - or we played wrong all the time?
But you only need to shoot out of 16" and bow is on -6....on above 8" it has +0...I'd be psychologicaly happy to see that weapon in aro... Difficult to find a spot where no one can come to you more then 8" range...and if happend - they probably will have shotguns, or flameres or smth more scary then a bow...
Not every ARO has to be a missile or sniper shot from across the table. If you're AROing with Dart, then she's either hiding somewhere defending herself, or the game is on the line and she's probably parked next to an objective attempting to defend it. Combining that Viral ARO with mines, Repeaters, etc. is a good way to make the enemy spend Orders picking that defense apart. Sometimes she'll definitely want to Suppress, but if the enemy forces her to Dodge (like rushing her with a Chain Rifle) it's nice that she still has a decent ARO that doesn't rely on maintaining Suppressive Fire. That's a big problem for the Ryuken-9... If you force her to Dodge, her value decreases. Dart has a decent backup option with the bow.
Plus you can't really rush her with dogged/nwi troops (like highlanders) since all her weaponry is instakill (even her sword is shock). She's really a fine hunter for light/mid infantry/warband/sk
C+ makes or breaks the bow for Active Turn. As long as you are able to get an unopposed shot in +3 it's only better than the SMG against Shock immune NWI/Dogged Targets. That list is short and mostly Ariadna: Mormaers, Vet Kazaks, Greys, Rosie, Yadu (oh the irony) and (sometimes) Krakots Not impressive, but you do have some pretty decent odds at getting a silent kill with it. Which is much more likely to become relevant. An 80% chance unopposed shot that probably causes two instakill saves against BTS 0 is worth exploring. With BS13 & MSV1 the bow will see a lot of use in AROs <16". In Vanilla the shell game with Nagas is brilliant. As long as she hasn't revealed she could be a BSG or Hacker. She also doesn't instantly die to Mines or Koalas like a Naga would. ARM 3 vs Mines, Koalas, Red Fury, Sniper Rifles and extra value against Viral makes her multiple times more resilient than even a Dasyus or MK2 hacker against these common threats for a Skirmisher. Intuitive Attacks (except Flamethrowers) are something she can tank for the unopposed Viral bow ARO with a smile. Cheap trading pieces like Galwegians or Krakots don't do well against her. She Discovers Camo up to 48" away on 13s and on 16s within 8". I'm torn on wheater I like the Mines or E/M Grenades better. While the Mines are more likely to see use, she is already very effective in that area. C+ and PH13 make for one nasty E/M platform. Imposting the threat to Isolate/Immobilize troops in the midfield as well as a mobile, high impact template certainly is something that demands some respect.
The E/M grenades upgrades her to a pseudo-Assault hacker without the vulnerability to KHD, a fair trade for mines IMO.
Yeah. I was debating if I should try to file them down but I'm not confident in my skills to do it well. But, in an interesting and good twist, yhe is quite tall and large overall. Once I build some of the Ariadna minis I'll show them side by side.
Ditto, however since my colour scheme is so dark I'm hoping to get away with a reduction by painting. Start building tonight!
Hm... I use a paint scheme with a fair amount of light/dark contrast. Would painting the bodysuit - and thus the breasts - one of the darker colours, and the side armour panels one of the lighter, achieve the opposite result? Somewhat minimising those things?
First it helps if you color the shoulder and the hips in the same tone, so her breasts are in context with the rest of the body. The original paintjob causes an effect that is uitlised in the bodybuildig scene. Rotating the hips to the side adds volume to the thorax. So you don't wanna make her hips look smaller than they are. It's somehow about the shading of the cleavage as well. Darkening the gap between the breasts while highlighting the boobs adds quite some volume to them. If you look closely at Angels paintjob you will see he did that too. So do the opposite. I did just a quick paintover to demonstrate the effect.
