With a big tournament like Interplanetary using SoF and Limited Insertion what would you bring? MB+SM pain train? Spector with Yuan Yuans?
We don't really need SoF thanks to StarCo's wide variety of tools. I'm thinking about bringing a RiotGrrls/Emily list that includes a Sensorbot for fighting camo/ODD-heavy armies (or the bloody Cutter), and a Brigada/Massacre PainTrain for when we just need to punch things in the face or accomplish lots of Classifieds (like the Highly Classified match). We're blessed with great HI linkteams, and fitting everything into 300 isn't too hard. I'm still kinda torn between StarCo and regular old Bakunin though. Zeros and Uberfalls are mighty tempting with all those likely perfect targets.
Saito's tempting, but with no specialist skills in the merc version, I dunno. We just have better choices.

You might run out of Command tokens though. Also you could upgrade the normal Brawler to an Assaulthacker Brawler.
This is really interesting! I do really like having both Emily and Avicenna around in case the opponent has (rightfully) learned to fear Emily and banzais something to kill her. Being able to reform the link after that is awesome. But why would you ever field the MB missile launcher rather than a Riot Missile launcher? Sure the ML might bite it (after sucking down a LOT of orders), but then you can reform as a Haris or core. And that slot can be used to get another good utility unit in, like Uhahu. That or go down to a TR HMG bot and bump that Brawler up to something interesting too.
First because you can only field four Riot Grrls in StarCo and according to my experience fo far the Riot grrls really ace in mid range. Therefore they'll be most likely active in ranges where the ML doesn't provide range benefits and despite It's a deadly weapon it's not made for these ranges. Second there was so much points/SWC and so less free slots left. I'm also not happy about the Brigada... but so far (and i had to learn it the hard way with my Cateran turned into a bloody mush in several test games) all other long range alternatives in StarCo lack that second Wound. Having had a Grrls ML make my life difficult on many occasions, I think they're pretty ace there too (especially if there are also Blitzens or another ARO piece involved). I really value ARO stuff in Limited because it turns the opponents' orders into your opportunities (more powerful when orders are limited, as is drawing away opposing orders even if you lose a piece here and there). I'd value that over a lot of other roles for a 4th Grrl. So IMO, keep the missile in the team. My struggle is mainly whether to take the Haris one or not. I want here in there for resiliency, but having that extra SWC free lets me also take a Reaktion zond and Uhahu or a Brawler Sniper. For supporting ARO pieces (I like to have at least 2 good ARO pieces), that MSV2 sniper's ability to pierce smoke proves pretty helpful against less high-tech opponents. But given that the Interplanetario allows Mercs this year though and Uhahu is a serious badass (plus Massacre, and then armies' own sources of Eclipse), I'm thinking I'll just stick with the TR bot. Uhahu has already proven to be gold for me. NWI on a hacker who has Sucker Punch up her sleeve is awesome. And I'm really looking forward to trolling other Grrl teams with White Noise. Also struggling a bit with whether to include the Irmandinho... but he's always SO MUCH FUN. So screw it, he's in. I'll be testing out the following against friends at the UK Games Expo this weekend (working so no time for a tourney if there is one, but pick-ups are a must). If the Irmandinho does go, the Al Hawwa Forward Observer is a good replacement: camo, infiltration, and D-charges so you miss the Irmandinho less. Regular, too. But not as cool of an image as the shotty-wielding looter edging up to steal stuff from downed enemy snipers, hackers, etc.! The Brigada Lt. is also really fun, because CoC lets you use him a lot more effectively and sometimes recklessly. The badass solo dude with flamer on a camo-hunting mission or in Supp Fire anchoring a flank is a great mental image. I really like the way this sectorial plays! Depending on the missions I would probably make a MB pain train list and an Emily list. Could even take both in one, run emily and a group of alguaciles upfield turn one, rain E/M on the enemy and then command point up a MB link for cleanup
