So, I'm new to Shas. I've mostly played Nomads and Yu Jing, but decided that I want to try conquering a few human sphere planets with Shasvastii. Looks decent. As an option, since you have chain of command you could make Sheskin your Lt to giver her an extra useable order. Then she can join the Nox for a Harris to give her an extra burst with her red fury. Just hide that Caliban with chain of command real good!
I appreciate the advice. I think I will do that. I was a bit concerned making the sheskin lt because of how aggressive I was going to use her, but being able to feed her a Lt order with a 5 burst 15 dmg Red Furry is very terrifying. How useful does Aida Swanson end up being? I feel like she seems really good, but I can see her end up not being worth the points.
I’ve had Aida sit in a corner all game and do nothing and I’ve had her lock down a board section all on her own. She is situational, but having mine layer and viral mines is a great deterrent. If you play against Ariadna a lot with wolves and bears it can give them pause. Sure, they have a great chance to dodge that viral mine, but then you play the head game of what if they don’t dodge it? Risk two bts saves and lose all those orders they spent moving across the table? Plus her side arm is viral. Getting Aida in suppression in the midfield for 20 points is great too. The enemy is potentially at -3 suppression, -3 cover, and -3 mimitism. All while looking at 3 sub machine gun shots with AP or shock. And who knows what booty will bring?! If you haven’t noticed, I kind of like her.
SEF characters in general are pretty good. Expensive, but their capabilities match the price. Regarding list, I'd place swap one Taigha with Noctifier. Sometimes there's an opening and you want the option to pump more orders into Taigha to cross the table and take out a juicy target.

What I meant was swapping them between groups, so that you can pump Regular orders into Taigha if need be. Noctifier ML is a great tool, and can sit quietly in Group 2, to be moved into Group 1 later on. Another thing I've noticed is the list being very light on heavy weapons.
That makes more sense. I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't sure what to drop and what to add in regards to heavy weapons. Any suggestions on what to swap for what?
I've never played shas, but have played against them a lot, a lot. I think this might be a way to go. From some brutal personal experience, the Cariban with msv1 and spittie can do real work. Also can pair well with smoke tossing speculo. It drops Aida to FTO version, and now you have a 6th sense hacker, which I think could be good in tow with Sheskin running around murdering. This looks like it would be a lot of fun. I will be trying this the next time I play. I'll let you know how it does.
I would suggest taking the FTO version of Aida over the SMG+1B option. FTO saves you 3 points, and if you put her in a 3 man team she gets the +1B in both active and reactive turns. With the 3 points you can upgrade the Mentor to come with the SMMR for extra range, or you could turn the stock Nox trooper into one armed with the grenade launcher to give you the ability to drop templates from out of line of fire; alternatively the Caliban FO could turn into an engineer c/w slave drone - the slave drone functions as a mine sweeper, extra shot at discover, and a body blocker. As others have mentioned, swap the Noctifier and a Taigha from group 2 to give you the ability to push a Taigha through an opening without bankrupting your command token stash.

Put Sheskin in total cover until 2d turn, place sphinx nearby in hidden. Stop the crowd with mines, Eliminate hackers/vip targets/link leaders with speculas (most time they do all the job). use Seed solders as batteries (but still you can coordinat'em to panzerphaust smth big if you plan wasted - worse than dylami but still good) and ... you still have the TAG and Awesome Lt to deal with anything. Schrouded can be changed to hacker
the thing is - that there's a lack or doc/eng to make objectives from the deck - for the rest - you have the tag pilot , which can be delivered with 6-6 speed anywhere on the battle. The fun is - that you eliminate your adversary before the 3d turn usually and easily take some additional points and complete the missions (also shrouded as a hacker not minelayer can be used for this matter). it's not balanced, it's deadly and fun. and it can be countered easily if opponent will concentrate n mission itselve but major players are too afraid of speculas and wasting a lot of orders to get rid of them usually
What is a good fireteam to put her in? I've been having a hard time coming up with one I like outside of Sheskiin and 2 Nox. This list looks fun. I'm going to try it the next time I run Shas. There is another League coming up at my LGS, and I want to run Shas for it. So, I'm going to be grabing practice with them when ever I can.
she can join that team to make it a 4-man and grant sixth sense; she can back fill if/when sheskiin or a Nox gets killed; she can drop in with the Nox and have Sheskiin become her own attack vector... It just gives you a few options at the expense of +1B (active turn only) on a single model.
