Can en engineer fix his own Isolated state? Rules only have one cancellation clause: "A trooper with the Special Skill Engineer (or an equivalent Skill) may cancel the Isolated state by spending one Short Skill of an Order while in base to base contact with the affected trooper and passing a Normal WIP Roll (or the Roll specified by the Special Skill or Scenario that caused the state)." So if we go strictly by this he can't or is there more to it?
Yeah, why shouldn't you? I'd argue that a trooper is always in base contact with itself. Thing is, you only have one chance per round, because the engineer has only its own (irregular) order. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Game_...minology:_Interaction_between_Zones_and_Bases The mentioning of "One trooper" in the first sentence supports this, as a single trooper can only be in base contact with itself.
Yeah, but only if he still has his own, now irregular, order (so if you activated him before this turn, and got Isolated because of Enemt ARO, no, you cannot). The one state an engineer can't autofix is the IMM-2, not even by using a Ghost:Servant, I'm afraid.
I agree that a trooper is always in BtB with itself. I might just be splitting hairs but, the line 'One or more troopers' is referring to one trooper in base to base with another trooper, for a total of two troopers involved. Or two/three/etc in base to base with another trooper.
