Absolutely you can. This list isn't ideal for button-pushing games due to lack of specialists, but for area-grabbing and kill missions it can be very effective. Just use Uxia like a scalpel to take out MVS2 troops or link teams (superior infiltration shotgun, heh heh), and then your army can advance under a wall of smoke. Once the Wulver link gets into good range it will crumble anything that looks at it wrong. On top of that, your opponent will have to worry about walking around a board filled with claymore-wielding madmen with chain rifles. SWC is good for killing, but isn't the only way to kill. Just keep in mind that even a brute-force list like this needs to be played with strategy and finesse.
Whilst it's been a while since I ran the Wulvers+Wallace fireteam, the main thing that springs to mind is you'll need other units to either distract your opponent, (from going after the fireteam), or to remove any dangerous enemy troops, (e.g. MSV2, TO, ODD). So I'd suggest get at least 2 - or even 3 - infiltrators & a couple of long-range guns, (e.g. T2 cateran or the Scots Guard ML), then fill in gaps with Galwegians and specialists. As for tactics, the main thing you'll need to worry about is the fireteam is such a big target as it combines; (a) lots of fire-power, (b) a large points-sink & (c) it has your Lt. But as long as it's protected enough to survive then the rest of your army can get on with the mission-y stuff, although they'll still need to stay nearby to support/protect the fireteam.

A few things about the list: 1- It's really light on specialists, a wip12 volunteer might as well not be one 2- The rifle volunteers don't really do anything for you, and since wally is your LT you might as well replace all volunteers with 45ers 3- The second group desperately wants something to feed its orders to, consider moving the SAS or trying to fit Mcmurder in there You said you wanted some more long range threats, consider a missile launcher Scot
The key thing isn't spending all your SWC, it's having weapons other than rifles. You want at least one weapon in +3 range when it's target is not. Ariadna used to always run SWC-light, because so many of their weapons that had not-rifle range bands didn't cost SWC. Like that Mk12, it basically has Marksman Rifle range bands, so it outranges a rifle. Other weapons don't cost much SWC, like that Cateran Sniper (T2 sniper for 1SWC, while my Multisnipers are all 1.5SWC)
I wanted to use the Wallace/ Wulver list for killing things. that's why I didn't put more specialist.
I have to agree with the 4 Volunteers are not doing you any good. Replacing them with Uxia or McMurder would help your list quite a bit. Even replacing them with 4 more Galwegians would be an improvement imo. Even if you leave the list basically the same. Move some of the Active units, such as the S.A.S. to Group B. Then you have more orders for the Wulvars, and someone to spend the Group B orders on.
I'd have to say it's more the Rifle Volunteers not doing that much; the chainrifle ones are great for board defence. My suggestion would be to replace both of the Rifles in that 2nd group with more Galwegians and spend the left-over points to change the paramedic to a 2nd 112 and/or one of the SAS to an FO. Otherwise, turn it into Limited Insertion list & amalgamate that 2nd group; which should also give you more points for another big gun.
