Hello all, I am curious what models you take in a Zeta focused list.
What kind of engineer do you bring?
    vanilla or starmada?

In Vanilla, I usually grab the Monstrucker! Climbing Plus is useful to get to places where your Climbing Plus TAG has climbed. I think there's also a case to be made for Parvati, because she can run double-duty as an amazing doctor and engineer at the same time.

I would use two killer Hacker and maybe an Evo drone for hacking protection.
A Cyberghost is a good option for hunting down enemy Hacker with his pitcher. However a lynx Hacker would make a nasty surprise for the opponent.
For me Starmarda tends to include expansive linkteams. I have no idea how to include both into one list, so I would stick to vanilla with the zeta.

I would also stick to vanilla, mainly because starmada fireteams don't add to much value for Zeta support. Linked hackers but not much more.
I prefer lynxes for ARO, Sirius for repeater coverage+white noise combo with the Cyberghost and additional kyttas for orders.
Cho CoC disguised as a Bluecoat, with another Bluecoat nearby, helps get the most efficiency from a Zeta Lt.

Take a look at this thread:

Is there any other Engineer (or Doctor) there?

This is my quick attempt at the Parvati version of the list:

    g+kACE8xMiBaZXRhgSwCAQoBhbIBAwAChbUBBAADhbsBAQAEhbsBAQAFhbYBAgAGhb0BAQAHhe0BAQAIhacBBQAJhacBBgAKhawBAwACBAGFvQECAAKF/gEBAAOFqgEDAASFugEBAA==

Nearly every everything in this list is there to generate orders or protect the zeta (except for the millicent, but it's another way to benefit from all these hacking devices and repeater)
Im am not sure if Parvati is better suited in the larger or the smaller group.

If (when?) your Zeta goes down, what are you planning to do apart from surrender?

BTW, Cho goes straight in group 2 and Parvatii in 1.

There is no plan B for this list (yet). That's normally not my style and it's more of a starting point for a zeta centered list. I didn't had the chance to play the zeta yet, so it is all theory crafting for me. Optimization is appreciated.

I'd make some space for an Epsilon HGM/MSR, so you can make use of that Varangian Smoke. Not taking any MSV units means you are needlessly gimping yourself against skirmishers and certain power pieces with Mimetism. Having some redundancy in your offensive pieces is also a good practice in general. Lynx hacker would be first on my chopping block to get there, then the EVO REM.

I'd also try to get a YudBot for Parvati and swap the Kappa FO for an OKO copperbot - it's only two points more and so much more useful, durable and fast. Expanding Parvatis range is a crazy force multiplier on such a capable specialist, and you have a lot of REMs in your list anyway, so that YudBot is a win-win.

Change the Cyberghost to the Hacking Device Plus to get access to White Noise and protect yourself against power pieces with MSV. Being able to drop a template and move past that Kamau/Grenzer ARO can make a massive difference. It's just another useful tool in your arsenal that you don't want to miss out on, in my opinion.

With the remaining points you can still afford a Gangbuster to get that KHD. MadTraps are a great deterrent and the SMG is always useful, especially with MSV1.

I kind of like both lists but I think the Last stand List is more a list that includes a TAG than TAG centered list in the spirit of the original post.

Honestly the EVO would be more useful than the FO bot for a few reasons.

    1. Sensor is way too order inefficient to use now
    2. More missions have a hacking bonus and virtually none have a FO bonus, so the EVO can be used to run at objectives in a pinch.
    3. Baggage is good, whether it's refilling the Cyberghost's pitcher or parking in a zone for extra points
    4. You have a TAG, not only that but you have a TAG LT, you kind of want fairy dust to stop it getting bricked or stolen and to make spotlighting it that much harder

KHD Gangbuster is good as a midfield specialist and the madtraps provide a good order sink, however that's about it. The KHD makes it unnecessarily vulnerable for little to no real gain as a wip 13 KHD has roughly a 20% to 25% (33% ish if attacking through your own repeater) to put a single wound on the kind of hackers you would be concerned about when they are behind a firewall (which given the current environment they almost always are).

In my experience with Zeta lists, I've always wanted the full 4 VGuard mostly as defensive road blocks and to run forward and clear out the midfield with a bluecoat or two in back babysitting Cho (as well as giving her something to hide as).
The Psycop MSV1 MMR makes for a great secondary gunner in a list if you want to shave 10 or so points as well as pick up a specialist operative, additionally against arm targets they are the same damage and against higher arm targets the Multi starts pulling ahead as well as being able to shock low arm stuff off the table.
