With Uprising coming on, there's been a lot of heated discussion and tension. This thread is aimed at relieving some of that with everyone's favorite past-times: list building and war stories. The removal of the Japanese troops has left some holes in our lists, but YJ still has some tricks up its sleeve (here's to hoping IA brings in loads more! :D). I ran this list in a couple asymmetric missions recently:

Basically, attacker had first turn and was supposed to set various objectives on fire (b2b WIP check. Specialists get +1 burst while impetuous get -1 burst. Specialist operatives get +2 burst) while defender tried to have stuff NOT on fire by game's end and also had to interrogate KO'd, stunned, or immobilized enemies (b2b WIP check, same rules as earlier).

Basically, Yan Huo would lock down the board with missiles while the Hac Tao, Hsien, and Tiger Soldier did the heavy lifting. If they weren't able to, the Gui-lang and Rui-Shi could act as backup attackers. Kuang Shi would defend the backline or suicide chain-rifles and the doctor watched the Yan Huo's back and would doctor him up if needed.

Both games I won because neither of my opponents (Corregidor and JSA) brought enough long range guns. The Yan Huo basically forced my enemies into inefficient or unsafe plays and punished them when they got too aggressive. I now kinda swear by the Hsien HMG. He single-handedly demolished entire teams of enemies whether through just outranging or through smoke from the celestial guard. I kinda wish I had room for more shaolin and a hacker to give the Rui-Shi assisted fire, though.

How do you guys like your YJ? Feel free to share lists and battle reports below. Also, what do you guys think of my list? Full disclaimer, I heavily prefer low order-count lists. I love muscling things with big, beefy HI and TAGs. I kinda refuse to use more than 2-3 kuang-shi on principle 'cause I think it's too easy to order spam with them. Yes it debilitates my list building, but it's just how I roll. Most of all, though, I hope we can all continue to have fun playing and chatting about Infinity together :D
