I bitch about Yu Jing's lost Asian aesthetics on Thursday and we get this on Monday. Clearly the Friday power outage was fake and CB took the weekend to make this monk render: You're all welcome. Jokes aside, it looks absolutely awesome and I really hope we get more of this design in future Yu Jing sculpts. Super keen to see what the rest of the box looks like.
It's thought it might be one of more in a box. Probably, because I just painted my old ones. But yes he looks awesome. I'm psyched about the three sectional staff. It's an iconic Shaolin weapon even though it wasn't limited to them.
It's very cool, although I'd have preferred it without the added cloak, unless they paint that cloak orange
Grey, orange, yellow (saffron), burgundy, blue, are all colors associated with Shaolin. Some denote the "rank" you have in the temple. I believe Grey is for the novice. Not sure on that though.
It (unsurprisingly) looks similar to the robes Liang Kai wears without the added armour, so I'd say the chance of them being at least partly orange is high.
I don't mind the look of the Zuyongs, and Gao despite being fucking trash tier is a really good looking mini, however I would like a greater percentage of Yu Jing models that scream this when you put them on the table: The monk resculpt(s) are definitely good in this regard

I'm not sure they can with the way Monks are Irregular-Impetuous. Can you imaging taking a core of them and not being able to use any of their irregular orders? To me, Shaolin shouldn't be Irregular in White Banner. They are based on Huang Di along with the Banner and should be more integrated with them. But then their pts shoot up! But if they are like say Varangians, I wouldn't mind that. Give Guan Yu some Tech and he would be awesome! Throw Sun Tze to the curb!
At least Liang Kai should be able to duo with a monk like/instead of Jing Qo. Be careful what you wish for. This is infinity so absolutely you are going to end up with this.
I feel like Yue Fei gets a raw deal in all the recreation wish listing threads. I feel like he would be a safer choice for a government given all these rogue recreations. 報精 國忠 That said the best recreations are no recreations.
