I mean, I'd certainly start eyeing the profile for some missions. It would also feel like a fitting place for an MO khd, on the cream of the crop.
I'd totally be open to it. I love the KotHS, but it hurts me to try to fit him in lists. A KHD would be the perfect way to make him relevant.
I'd take him more often, yeah. Still will have to compete with Hexas, but it would be a nice fix for the poor KOTHS
Probably not. The combi just wrecks it. really it needs a Multi rifle or mkmn rifle (Or multi mkmn) in combination with a scoring method too really be considered as a "Fighty" specialist" in that pts class in my opinion.
No, no to that is not kosher thing. Knight are stalwart honorable defenders and would never use KHD. And units must always resemble their fluff, so thats ehy our "creme de la creme" has ORC armor and combi. Hadnt you learn from Raicho and its Full Auto that units always have what fluff tells us about them?
Honestly? Maybe but this would make this a bit sad to see that. KotHS could really stay just an attack piece with nothing more in his life than killing people by sword and fire. But the combi profile is just useless. Give him the Crusader loadout (MR+LFT) and I think he would see the table a lot more. And since it seems now that you can lower the point cost with magic (*koff* Raicho *koff*), 3-4 points cheaper would be nice too. But we won't have anything like this. We have a holo knight that can pass through Repeater with expertise in minesweeping, that's enough for CB.
Giving a knight with WIP 14 a chance to push buttons in ITS? Oh please... Not gonna happen. If KotHS are best of the best, okay, no need to make them MO-Swiss Guard, but maybe something more John Wick style, make them perfect CQB specialists. MA2, DA ccw and CC21 is certainly not "this-that-creme-creme". I dunno, some (God forbid) unique and interesting weapons like Silenced SMGs, Flash Grenades and Specialist Operative (ofc cheaper than they are now).
An assault pistol or SMG would make him a bit scarier. Holo begs a for a template weapon, so HRL and SMG would be perfect so he keeps Suppressive Fire.
KotHS could be make into 2 very funny profiles: John Wick Style <standard stats, but WIP-1> Sixth Sense Lv2, Veteran, Double Assault Pistol, Double Viral Pistol Demolition Man Style <standard stats, but WIP-1> Veteran, Full Auto Lv2 Feubarach, Pistol Now it can even work with itself as it's enough to drop on holo on top of the roof and make your enemy sweat wondering if you are pulling his leg with a CQB holo hoping to waste his orders or it's really a ARO piece left to shoot :P
I would kill for a HD+ And it could be justified as Templar tech. I think that CB killing off the Templar and every other high tech/cool aspect either defecting or dying is writing themselves into a position where the idea that PanO is the tech faction is a ludicrous statement.
How exacly do you Full auto a non-automatic weapon? Am I missing something? Btw Swiss HMG Full auto!!!
I for one care a lot about Profiles that make at least some sort of sense. Which is why the current KothS and Fatherknight feel so bad. "Elite of the Elite" - WIP14, CC21, BS14 - seriously "Senior Officer" - no Martial Arts, thus no Courage, but Religious - literally the stupidest, most stubborn Knight there is. KothS is the one Knight with a delivery mechanism into CC and Surprise Attack to be good at it - then gets bummed out by CC21 MA2. Veteran for either of them sounds like a massive improvement. Veteran L2 and any level of proper CC for Fatherknights would put them in a position to compete with Swiss Guards for their slot. NBW to emulate a supreme duelist for either of them would also be the dream. I'm fine with the Spitfires as long as the rest of them does something worth bringing. Reliable CC is a great way to give Knights more versatility. Lets you deal with Smoke, ups the damage potential and makes sure they're not overpriced. Just look at Joan V2 EXP CCW once in a while. Honestly, that's already the Knight you really want. Just takes a while to see past her Lt role. Taking a break from PanO really helps. The more time I get to reevaluate my opinion about Vanilla the more options I find recently. First thing I used to look at was which beatsticks I could run. Now it's how to deal with defending my DZ in case I go 2nd, what to do against a (Zero-V)Smoke, how to dig out a priority target in Repeater range etc. There isn't much of an excuse to leave the less useful Knights in their current state forever. Better options are already available and mutually exclusive for the most part.
