So my thought is that these four heroes are probably the "Best from each from nation". I am guessing the guy on the far left works for Pan-O and the big guy in the middle works for Yu-Jing? Does anyone have any idea on who double machetes could work for as well as the woman in the back? Also how many more characters do you think they will have?
I think probably a base of like, four, a KS expansion of four, and then additional ones in future. Plus maybe rules for regular Infinity characters in Defiance.
The troop on the left appears to be a Kamau/MI suit without the usual pouches all over. Gun appears to be a PanO Multirifle, which doesn't fit any existing miniature. 2nd one in the back appears to be a Nomad support troop judging by the colours. Doesn't seem to wear any sort of obvious Hacking Visor, but what looks like a Reverend style hood - maybe the squad medic. 3rd one appears to e a HI. The belt fed HMG appears to be the Aleph version, but the colour seems to be a fit for YJ. 4th one appears to be an Ariadna CC Specialist, best guess is he is a Scot. Since this is it's own game i assume none of those characters exist as of now, but will make their way into the game as new Profiles at some point.
They had me with a Kamau character... I've seen some speculation that those blades look more like Haqq. Haqq Murder Hobo?
Sunglasses, wild mane & beard and a pair of Machetes makes it likely he is a Dogwarrior of some sort. The existing ones have some Machete/Kukri hybrid CCWs.
3rd guy could be a yan-huo MHMG, though his weapon looks more like a slightly modified version of the aleph HMG than a yu-jing one.
Not sure which version that is, but it 's a perfect match for the Posthuman HMG with added optics. The YJ HMG is rather distinct. The armour itself looks like something new. YJ prototype?
It's probable the heroes don't map one-to-one onto things we see on the table, since they're specific characters who probably have more customized gear than the soldiers usually portrayed in Infinity. Could it be that the big guy is a YJ soldier with an Aleph gun? I know cooperation between Aleph and the two biggest hyper powers is fairly common.
Some good guesses on nationalities, but what about roles? From left to right I see leader/generalist support doctor/engineer tank/heavy close combat/murder hobo
If it's release is in November, maybe we'll have one character per Human faction (Ariadna, PanO, YJ, Aleph, Nomads and Haqq) ?
Kickstarter begins in November. Won’t be released for possibly a year afterwards. Unless the game is already in production, which it doesn’t seem to be. Unless you meant November 2020. In case you didn’t know (if you did, apologies): They raise the money, then they manufacture the product, then they ship it.
Turnaround should hopefully be faster than most Kickstarters as CB own the means of production and aren't at the whims of China. Biggest reason I can see to do crowd funding is that they're not sure on the scale and amount of demand. This gives them a good idea how popular the product will be and how large the initial production run will end up.
Could be a Janissary HMG, those have belted HMGs. That's what I'm hoping for. And then expansions would be in sets of 6 as well. Though Aleph troops could be optional, making it sets of 5 (PanO, YJ, Nomad, Ariadna, Haqq). I dunno, who is making the game boards for Aristeia! ?? Isn't that made in China?
Most likely, though I know they've used a local printer for books and the Operation boxes. I'd also posit that the turnaround on printed cardboard is much faster than miniatures, so it might be possible to order the printed parts from overseas whilst making the more complex miniatures in house.
The thing about infinity is guns are made by corps not countries so a multi national team probs under o12 will likely have whatever o12 decides to buy for them.
The armour is a near perfect fit for Yan Huo, barring the green lights on the chest. The shoulder has the same slope as the Yan Huo and the massively oversized gauntlets are also essentially a perfect match. The gun isn't a match to the Posthuman HMG, the Posthuman doesn't have the upper sights, and the picture in the OP slopes downwards towards the brace while the Aleph HMG slopes upwards. To me it looks more similar to a slightly modded Yu Jing or Nomad HMG. It's more likely they took the shape of the Yu Jing MHMG, removed the flamer attachment, and then erased parts of the upper receiver so you would be better able to make out the head
