it’s been mentioned a few times. The Fall of Daedalus book, it mentions that they have a base on Concilium and have ties to the Bureau Aegis and OSS. I doubt that John Hawkwood making appearances in PanO, Yu Jing, and ALEPH is indicative of the units in White Company, but maybe he picked up some friends along the way?

I’m hoping to see a couple of characters alongside some Brawlers and/or ABHs. Mostly, I’m really hoping White Company will feature a handful of OSS and O-12 units mixed together. It would be interesting to see some ALEPH featured in a sectorial without Post Humans but with some standard line infantry to make the basis of some new absurd mixed core team.

    In any case, I’m stoked.

I just want an army with both CSUs and ABHs. I basically want a corporate merc army.

Not sure where he got the info, but a guy I was talking to was convinced that WC would be a Aleph/Ariadna mixed force.

PanO / Aridana is missing. I'd expect to see Varangian Guard in that mix as they're technically Ariadnan, and it opens up smoke without going full Galwegian.

Since Hawkwood has ties to both Yu Jing and PanO, I don't think he'd have a sectorial featuring just one of them.
Could mean that he has a PanO/Yu Jing force, with both sides veterans watching the other.
But I did see someone on the fourms point out that several of the Merc groups match the theme of a previous starter box (without usually matching the units). That points me back to the Aleph/Ariadna theory.

Theorizing units, inane.imp's theory of seeing the Varangians in WC makes sense to me.
I wonder then if you'd have VG & Brawlers(or CSU) as the core units, Vet Kazaks as the elite infantry, then Aleph bots and maybe Devas as the main Aleph parts.

I don't know that mixing O12 and ALEPH in a merc company matters since O12 has some ALEPH already, but I'd kind of like it if White Company was a mix of PanO and ALEPH myself. ALEPH + Ariadna would be a little odd to me, but doable I guess. I'm not sure what ALEPH units would be "available for hire" though, not a lot of retirement options for Dakini's I'd imagine. A Yadu group would be cool. A CSU can make a Dakini team though, so that sounds workable.

Also from a greedy standpoint, I got an old Kaplan box, so I'd like a group with Dakinis, Yadu, Kaplans and I guess Varangians if they actually release them.

Do we even know what Varangians look like or unit descriptions or anything though?

ISS can field both CSU and bounty hunters. Maybe not in huge numbers, ava is 2 each plus there is the Ashcroft hunting party. depending on the loadout you end up at around 100 points and 6 regular orders, so still have plenty of room to fill up according to your flavour, i.e. with remotes.

True, but no Ashcroft hunting party there.

This basically what I thought White Company was going to be. Glad to hear that it is coming soon. Can't wait to see what units can be used in lists since I have a few Yu Jing troops with my PanO troops. I wonder which Aleph troops will end up in the Company?
I like the sound of that.

Yeah, I was wrong with my aleph/ariadna prediction. Probably means those are going to be code1 action packs next year.

I'm wondering if the remotes will be all aleph. While the regular bots are generic, I really like the Rudras in a fireteam in OSS, and Garudas are a great AD trooper.

I'm very interested in what YJ forces would be used as Mercs. They've already stretched it a bit story-wise with Dahshat being having Muslim uighurs. They could, I hope, say they are "former" Tiger Soldier with the same equipment. Since their main operations was Huang Di/Svarlaheima I'm guessing the bulk of their troops are from White Banner and Winter Force. Of Aleph? No clue. I'd hazard a guess at Devas, Dakini, and Garuda. But if it's for Code 1, then it might be more of a mix of those troops.

It's a Sectorial, and part of the N4 launch, I doubt it'll get added to C1.

I imagine/hope we'll see a good proportion of the Kaldstrøm and Beyond contents in it though, as it'll be an easy jumping point from those boxes.

Well then i'll hazard a guess at Ye Mao, Tiger Soldiers, and Jujak. And the Jujak team will probably be better than WB.

I hope not. I'd rather see them take an opportunity to actually refresh/release non-Kaldstrom adjacent stuff. This endless cycle of releasing new Sectorials with "brand new, never before seen units!!1!!" that feel like they're just Sectorial specific reskins of existing content has to stop at some point. This isn't 40k or Battletech where lost tech and planets are being refound, for the most part.

If it were strictly the Combined and Tohaa where this was happening? Probably not as big of a deal. But every time we get a new Sectorial, there's some magical new "top tier elite operators that also are apparently super common".

Except White Company won't have any "brand new, never before seen units!!1!!" because they're a Mercenary "paper" Sectorial, the purpose of which is to introduce new forces without "brand new, never before seen units!!1!!" and White Company won't need any additional releases because it uses existing ones. So they are in fact doing what you want!

Gee, it's almost like I said I'd rather see them take an opportunity to actually refresh/release non-Kaldstrom adjacent stuff in response to someone saying they hoped it would be themed around Kaldstrom! ::shrug::

We don't need more of a reason for Kaldstrom's two superstar Sectorials to get more focus. They'll be getting it.

What we do need or could use? Units that have been missing boxed sets or profiles for frigging years.
