When comparing the two Warcor profiles I always seem stumped between choosing Sixth Sense Lv1 or Aerocam. I run Wallace to make it a regular order and when I see lists online I see a even spread between the two options being picked. I was curious on why people choose one Warcor over another?
360 Visor lets you cover your DZ and edges that AD2 troops/Van Zant could enter on with a Flash pulse ARO. 6th sense makes him immune to Stealth and short range surprise shot/attack which could be useful if the Warcor is hiding in a building/on a roof to provide an Order. I'd probably say 360 visor is better, but the difference is so negligible that you'll not cripple yourself by taking the "wrong" one.
360 visor is clearly better. 6th sense only works if the Warcor is the target of an attack. This is seldom the case. More often than not you will want to save other troopers from getting hurt that means Flash Pulsing passers by or Alerting. Your opponent will rarely bother attacking the Warcor himself.
When you're using Wallace or Joan Lt. the Warcor becomes less disposable as it's now providing a Regular Order, 6th sense would help a CSU hiding on a roof or in a skip.
When running Wallace you need ARO pieces, too. The Warcor is a 3 points Flash Pulse ARO machine. In CHA your choices for effective ARO are surprisingly sparse. At first Galweians look good, but they lack long-range weaponry completely. Caterans are pretty good at shooting back, sadly cost too much for puttig them on ARO duty, and are way too good at active turn hunting. A dirt cheap guy watching out for AD troopers is a must have. Indeed Warcors are less disposable when running Wallace, but you do need disposable heroes (at least a couple of them) for ARO duties. And the Warcor fills that role the best in CHA.
When I've run a Warcor, it's been on ARO duty with a wide view of the board - therefore 360 visor is a must. They're basically there to drain orders from my opponent for them to kill the Warcor first; I tend to assume that he'll be dead by end of Turn 1, but hope he survives more than one ARO. PS: I don't use them for AD Watch, as I have Volunteers with chain-rifles & LSGs for that.
