When will you think a new Quapu Khalqi Starter will be released?

well, a think that QK will get a new starter only after RTF launch

 

I wouldn't bet on it ... really really would like/enjoy/buy an updated version of the QK starter (and with the djan resculpt box my hope was up) but I doubt it will come this year.

additionally I hope for YuanYuan resculpts before the new QK starter (using my fat ones for the time being, but the new artwork for Ikari company made me want new ones even more than before)

 

I have to agree. I really don't have a problem with the current sculpts, but after seeing the Ikari art, I can't wait for new models!

 

I'm dreading new Odalsiques sculpts. While I think the new method of assemby makes other people's lives life easier, to me it's harder to convert the minis and repose them.

 

On the other hand you have me who's desperate for a new odalisque sculpt. The only reason I don't own them is because of the weird alien mouthed faces. Same reason why I haven't bought a Gromoz yet for my Druze list :/

 

Aww, they are not that bad, once you paint them. Although, to be fair, I came to the Odalisques from Sisters of Battle, who look like Sylvester Stallone with a wig. So to me the Odalisques always looked beautiful.

 

Haha as it happens, SoB were my entry into TT wargaming. Sold them all up 4-5 years ago once I began transitioning to warmahordes and then Infinity. Warmahordes was better but CB scuplts in N3 are just too good to pass up. Yes, less interesting poses but just incomparable quality to me.

And then you know, this is all without Kingdom death 1.0 landing on your doorstep a couple of years ago permanently altering your quality expectations for mini faces...

 

Chances are, we aren't getting RTF this year.
But really, QK are probably only section of Haqq that needs resculpts all over the place, badly.

Also, while on topic of Odas, I'm in the "remake them nao" camp. But I really wish them to end up amazing. Don't screw that up, CB! :P

 

I feel like we will see a QK starter redo before an Oda rescultp, because they can throw an Oda in the box as a water testing model. But I also believe we are a ways from a new QK Starter box.

 

Next year, maybe. Probably not before that.

 

Right now the composition has lost a little of its idealness (until the Hawwa repack, the starter was the best complement for generic forces! Currently, Hassassin's starter holds that premise because of the Hawwa's fall).

Think about it: 3 Hafzas to play with in vanilla, a djanbanzan sniper, a Hawwa and an Odalisque. Sure, the Odalisque is not a primary pick in vanilla, but this with the Odalisques box lets you have a haris and a core without problem in QK!

Well... the Janissaries have been resculpted, the Druze too, same with the Djanbazan, the Ghulam are all new, the Az'Rail are also new sculpts... And the Khameel are so nice I use them in Aleph XD

That leaves Scarface & Cordelia (she might need a resculpt, he does not... but a Druze helmet would be lovely to convert him into a generic druze TAG), the Yuan Yuan (if we don't count the fat ones, but yeah), the Odalisques, the Hafza, the Hawwa, the S3 remotes (the chocobos are nice, but...I've seen too many broken, with the legs in the base, and the torso free), the Kaplan (which I think are nice, however), and I don't know if the sekban are new or not...

So that leaves, essentially, the starter and the Odalisques box, with maybe the Sekban box, in need of a resculp, with the S3 remotes in dire need of a resculpt as a favour for the whole of Haqquislam. 10 models, maybe 14, that's not "all over the place" man!

 

That's more than the rest though :P
Also don't forget stuff like Janbazan sniper.

 

Sekban are pretty modern. I dunno if they're CAD but they look quite up to date.

It's Odalisques, KTS, Hafzas and Al'Hawwas that are showing their age, and that's about it.
