As written. Can you deploy him alongside reserve trooper, during "main" deployment phase (everything - reserve), after deployment (after reserve) or when ?
Not providing orders and being a meatshi... ehm... Sync'ed Civilian is normally enough for ignoring Combat Group limits. BTW, being Syncronized, you deploy the XenoTech with his controller.
Well, that's a chicken-egg kind of deal, though. The Xenotech doesn't possess Ghoat: Synchronized until they are synchronized, and it is the Ghost: Synchronized skill that stipulates deployment with controller. Edit: hah! Ghoat: Synch! Thanks, keyboard! You know what I mean :)
During the Deployment Phase, the Xenotech will be deployed in the CivEvac state, Synchronized with a trooper that meets the requirements to declare the Synchronize Civilian Skill. So, the Xenotech IS Sync'ed
Fair point, but I don't agree with @tox which one is the egg :p Since the Xeno doesn't have Ghost: Synchronized during list construction, it only gains it after it has been synchronized - a state it doesn't have before it is deployed, therefore it would be deployed like any other trooper - no different from a Fusilier.
Played a game last night and synched the Xenotech with a FD L1 trooper. Placed the FD L1 trooper 4" outside my deployment zone and the Xenotech inside my DZ, within ZoC of the FD L1 trooper. I assume this is fine, yea?
is there anything that states the xenologist must deploy within the deployment zone? why not just deploy it right alongside your FD1 trooper?
This means: Mk1 medic/engineer with 1-2 servitors Random Mk Mk5 with Synced civillian... That is frigging 5-6 MODELS you deploy "as single reserve". Frigging... (as if the Posthumans were not OP enough -.-U) The game is restrictive, so unless something says he does... and http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Ghost_(G)#G:_Synchronized:_Deployment only says they are deployed at once.
Xenotech is a Civilian The Civilian profile does not have any Deployment skills. Therefore the Xenotech must deploy inside the DZ.
Deployment zone only calls out your troops. Xenotechs are nuetral civies. The only stipulation on them is that the troop they are deployed with must be able to declare sync. Nothing in the rules would prevent a montessa dragging one to the halfway line
From the PDF: All players must include a Xenotech in his Army List without any cost and without taking up any spaces in a Combat Group (emphasis added) This implies that my Xenotech is considered part of my army during deployment and is therefore bound by the same deployment restrictions as the rest of my army.
