After finishing a Makaul, now I'm painting the Gorgos pilot (then two Sukeuls and a Rasail). This mini has 4 straps on each leg, 8 on each arm, and twice as many buckles. That's 24 leather straps and 48 buckles. Per troop. Why? Who thought this is a good idea? Why you hate me CB? Why are you evil CB? Why do you hate puppies? Why? Why? Fourty. Eight. Buckles.
I thought of making myself a present and 'designed' this cool tee to make sure everyone knows what faction I am playing
CB just spends their time looking at Rob Liefeld drawings https://www.progressiveboink.com/2012/4/21/2960508/worst-rob-liefeld-drawings
Just started playing the game and bought Tohaa to start. I couldn't believe the amount of straps on these things. Friend of mine just told me to paint over and forget it
They are not that horrible to paint. Make a good coverage with a base color (old, small citadel drybrush used like a normal brush speeds this up a lot), then just layer with brighter colors (a series of lighter color, with each a bit thinner line). While painting Tohaa I've developed pretty fast and decent looking technique for blacks (which will end up grey) and the beige Tohaa armor color (scheme from Giraldez's book). So all the straps are annoying, but doable. Makaul is still a pain in the ass with all those stupid lines all around that skirt thingy.
