    Hey folks,

I have been trying to figure out Star Co lately, Ive played around 6-8 full 300 point games and I assume I am not realizing the great perks of this faction.

Typically in my list building Knauf in a 3 man (I have been taking him with Emily and Uhahu but ive recently swapped to 2 brawlers) and I run 2 bandits for midfield presence. Those options I feel confident in that I like besides that Pure core teams seem rather expensive point sink or its the alguaciles core which I have been told is not worth 5-manning. Ive debated on the Anaconda and other than that I just take filler models for orders.

Anyone got any units I should be using?

Riot grrl and fiddler makes a really good 5 strong team. Not too expensive either so can still pad for orders. Good split of range bands, msv, characters are veteran, an engineer with d-charges so can cover a lot of classifieds too

My StarCo experience is still pretty limited but one thing I’m on to and expect to continue is the Ariadna models as auto (Hardcase, Irmandino) or near-auto-includes (Cateran T2). They’re irregular but a lot of bang for the buck. And of course I almost always have a bandit KHD.

I always liked a Haris of R Grrl w/spitfire, R Grrl w/boarding shotgun/tinbot -6 and Avicenna. They are highly mobile, tough, hard to hack and can get a ton of classifieds done. I'd even be inclined to include the three of them as my core, and then an actual Knauf Haris. Put them in different groups for active turn work (Knauf at range, Grrls more up-close) and then fill in with support/ARO pieces

I usually use 2 fire teams of 3 (RiotGrrls/Fiddler, Avicenna or Uhahu & Brawler/CSU/Digger - according to needed specialists for objectives), Raoul Parachutist, 2 Bandits, Hardcases Rifle, Al'Hawwa SR or FO (according to mission). That is what I bring in 99% of all games.

Other profiles are added according to objectives, needed ARO, opponents choice of faction and so on

No Knauf Haris? That seems like a big long-range offensive hit to your list...

in my Meta we usually have pretty dense tables so there are ways to avoid AROs and sneak up to the enemy lines mostly unseen.
My "LongRange" Offensive consists of my Infiltrators like Bandits and Hardcases and Al'Hawwa Camo Sniper. Plus Raoul crashing into the enemies flank via Parachutist/AD.
The RiotGrrl Haris usually has a Spitfire (or sometimes a ML) for medium range.

Thanks for the advice so far everyone.

So from the looks of it the 5 man/core seems to be Riot Grrls. 3 to 5 man and haris is Knauf cause of the pure value he offers.

I should defiantly try out more ariadna models and get over my fear of using Raoul as a parachutist.

Thanks guys any more advice will defiantly be appreciated.

It's about a year ago since I played them in a tournament and I believe I used this list (can't remember that well):

    Screenshot_20230219-082525_Infinity Army.jpg
Knauf was part of the Alguacil fireteam and did quite well either active or reactive, the Alguaciles were... there

The Anaconda proved to be a good tool to bring Uhahau where she was needed, nothing more.

The real performers were again the irregular troopers and in one game the Hawwa who possessed a Tikbalang

Remember that he can walk on from a neutral side with no roll. Usually by turn two (often on turn one) there's a spot where he can step on safely and make a run at your opponent's deployment. Or if they're being really cagey and covering all the lines, Raoul has already gotten into their head and taken away resources, so already a win (then just have an Irmandino or something throw a smoke on the sideline and have Raoul walk on there)

Knauf in core (with algua and diggers) one of the best aro piece against some armies (no tag, ariadna..) and one of the best active shooter if anything heads up
Riot in haris (spit+boarding) with uhahu or someone else (one of the best HI, MSV, dodge ability)
    Irmandhinos

things I like to play but non auto include : al hawwa hacker, spector jump, emily breaker rifle, uhahu, fiddler with 2 jackbots, anaconda
