The Wardriver is by far the most maligned hacker in the game, it's not cheap, and comes with an extra 0.5 SWC tax, so why take it? Lately, I've really been into sixth sense, especially on hackers! I've often run a Brawler AHD in my link teams to deny enemy stealth HI from advancing through my repeaters. The downside is that an enemy KHD can quickly eliminate it, not only taking out your sixth sense, but also removing your link bonus. Since the Wardriver comes with Sixth Sense natively, you can take the standard hacker, to force the enemy HI/REM/TAGs moving through the repeater to reset, which then allows all your other hackers to ARO, or alternatively, the Wardriver ends up getting a free hack, win-win.
Traditionally his biggest problem was that he was in a faction that had very little or no access to Repeaters. Whilst Ikari isn't exactly swimming in them, you've a lot more choice than in USARF or FRRM.
It's really hard for me to justify a Wardriver, when you can have a Keisotsu for cheaper pts and swc. Wip is less but not a big deal. 6th sense is nice but I see it as a cheap throwaway anyway as well.
This is the biggest point that’s stopping me auto-including the Brawler Hacker in a Link as well - I mean what repeaters DO we have? There’s just the remotes, right?

That's still more than Ariadna ;) With 6th sense and a shotgun the Wardriver also makes and excellent corner/DZ defender
Both Druze hackers have Pitchers! :) We just don't have amazing hackers to make use of them. But we do have better range than some others.
Yeah, I always included a Brawler or Keisotsu hacker in core links, but by taking a Wardriver, I can remove the hacking vulnerability from the link, while continuing to shut down stealth hackable units. For repeaters, there's the Rui Shi, Pathfinder, Fugazi, and both of the Druze hackers. Since you'll still probably want an AHD or KHD in the army to take advantage of forcing the enemy to repeat, either of those would be solid additions anyhow.
