Just recently, even before I finished painting I dropped one mini. Was like 15cm fall... broke into 3 pieces. And it was not on the joints. Seriously WTF?!

Unrelated to Warcrow but I broke at the level of both heels my O12 Roadbot just by holding it firmly for painting.

I know, I should use a miniature holder, but fuck that…

I still don't know how you people manage to do such feats ^^" I keep sending my siocast accross tables to show people their sturdyness and they NEVER break.

There may be something deeper going on... I know very little about the material used by CB for WC minis. What I know is that stuff like humidity and temperature may have great impact on how does the cast acts in reaction to stress. Would it be possible, (it happens with some types of plastic) that very dry casts become brittle?

It's been said that they've used/tested different compositions (some times people have received miniatures where different parts have a different coloration). There's also the fact that models made from Siocast can theorically be recycled when they have miscast, but I'm not sure if they recycled material is as good.

Se there are indeed many factors that can contribute to the quality of the material.

Possible also depends on the volume of the miniature.

eg: no problem with the Squalo MK2 that is a quite fat guy, but the Roadbot is very very slim. The legs are very thin, same as the arms.

Same can be said about the Roadbot mobility form. My toddler was playing with it and no issue. Would it have played with the Combat form, pretty sure I would have find it shattered in 100 pieces.

I am not sure, the reports I see have different thicknesses and failure points even on the same miniature to draw a solid conclusion, so far I have not experienced such a failure, but I am also not throwing them around and the cat has been relatively well behaved around models lately.
