I'm not a huge fan of these models. I typically am proxying Saito with my Aristeia Miyamoto Model and often see others using other models. I know we've gotten a LOT of love lately with, ya know, an entire army. However, I was wondering if there is any idea or rumor going around if these models will be updated in the near future.
The ninjas are fine right now? I would like them to be updated to the tac bow sculpt, but they're definitely not the worst sculpts or most needed resculpts in JSA right now. Iirc we don't have a chain rifle Domaru that matches the current sculpts, and Neko is still the old scale/design as well. Saito on the other hand is awful
Ninjas are fine, especially the one in red veil. I think theres enough sati proxies out there where it's excusable as this point. The dude from the outrage box comes to mind
Hmm, that's true. Maybe it's time to hunt down the Ninja from the box without buying all of Red Veil lol
Shikamy double sword is my Saito proxy. That mini is gorgeous, and the double sword simulates the 2 strikes of MA4 there is a lot of conversion potential in that miniature
If you picked up the Outrage box, there is a very nice ninja (or Saito proxy) in there. And when building Outrage-inspired lists, I always ended up using Saito as Nakadai the ninja anyway (due to Nakadai's throwing a smoke grenade in-story).
Standard Ninjas are pretty terrible compared to limited ed tac bow ninja. They need an update soon. No desire to buy current old models.
I just got the old ninja's but I will buy any new ninja's when they come out, would be nice if CB let us know when they plan to do so.
Saito: Nakadai with a Shikami helmet without hat or Yojimbo (on foot) with shortened sword and Shikami helmet. I use run Yojimbo as base with the Shikami helmet with hat, as I think it looks so cool! Ninjas: The O-Yoroi pilot, the new Dart model...
