So in reading the Religious rule it has the phrase: Additionally, during a Retreat! situation, troopers with this Special Skill cannot voluntarily abandon the game table unless the scenario rules indicate otherwise. Is there any normal situation (outside of scenario specific rules) where you CAN do this? If there is what is the process? Other than this of course: In a Retreat! situation, all troops who exit the game table via the widest side of their Deployment Zone are considered to have survived the battle and can be counted as Victory Points by their owner. I can easily see this as a broken way to ensure that the retreat conditions are met in order to screw your opponent out of OP.
Well, taking miniatures out of the gaming table is, I think, and artifact from a previous version. Consider how the only ITS missions which allow that, also allows you to end the turn once in Retreat (declare no order, end of the game). This might be important in campaigns like Paradiso, however, where you need to evacuate troops.
