Vertical menu and laptop resolutions/scaling

Is anyone else fighting with Army now that the vertical menu is mandatory?
I'm finding that on two laptops using the suggested windows scaling of %150 Army doesnt seem able to handle it at all. I'm also struggling to actually click the super skinny scroll bars.

Even on my desktop I’m struggling to make all the widgets fit without having to put my browser into full screen mode.

I really preferred the ability to put it in 3 columns...

We should be able to narrow windows down like in N3.

The way it is now is a perfect fit for 21:9 screens, but that's it.
