We can start shaving points by removing the ZC killer hacker, and including an Echo-Bravo - although they perform different functions, the EB harrassing enemy lines near deployment can buy you time to run Patsy up closer to the enemy. I can see croc-man going as well, and maybe a helot, to make points for her. Switching the Kamau hmg for a Kamau harris, to link with her, maybe? With a mobile link on the table, do we need a stactic castle of ORC + Kamau sniper? What do you guys think?
Unless you have been having awesome luck with the Feuerbach, I'd be considering swapping Patsy for it, and that frees up 7pts.
@mauriciorjbr I've heard the podcast yesterday too, but what you shouldn't underastimate the skill barakiel brings with. I don't know how experienced you are, but don't forget that "It's not the list, it's you" is a huge point. I wouldn't play this list, cause I'm uncomfortable with it. You have to find your own way to play Varuna, but you can beginn with this list to try them out. I'm not an experienced player too, but this is my list, I came up with this list, but it's still a draft. It's not stronger, but I fell more comfortable with this. Thanks for the shout-out about the episode, guys. Glad you enjoyed the episode. I've been trying this, and it actually performed really well in an ITS last Saturday. It took me a while to figure out how to structure this, but there's huge value in getting Patsy's Haris in a separate combat group from your main Core. The 2nd ZC or Kamau HRL are flexible points that can be subbed out for other choices, like an EB, Croc, 2nd Helot, etc and the Group 1 Kamau HMG just gets moved into the Haris. Excellent. I like the feuerbach orc in the main group as it brings a scary aro when linked, but with Patsy in, it becomes too heavy points-wise. Nice ideas you guys have. My experience is with a very mobile USARF list, no castle defence at all, so I love the challenge of a shooty army, but one that can move around with the kamau, zc and croc. My minis are already in Brazil, somewhere in the mail system lol... maybe by next week I can start putting my games in and drop some lines regarding how they are going
Why do you select the Fusilier hacker + 2 x Fugazi as cheerleaders and not 3 x Fusiliers for 4 points less? Do you find the speed/mimetism/sniffers in the Fugazi of better use than a Fusilier? Or is it the Hack Aircraft ARO from the hacker/other reason?
I would say it's beacuse of all the utility those bring along with Zulu-Cobras sensor and repeater net for Fusilier Hacker.
Fugazi are worth their weight in gold. The real question is if the Fusilier Hacker is worth paying another 8pts and 0.5 SWC to pick up. For me that answer is nearly always "yes" as the utility of a Regular Hacking Device is nearly always worthwhile.
