What are your expiriences so far? Have you found something that works well? Or something fun? What about Duos and Harrises? Anything interesting there?

I am enjoying Nomads in N5. They have all the tools to do the job. I have noticed they seem to be a generalist faction nowadays. Nothing is too overpowered. In fact, with most of my games, I have to fight hard to complete missions. This is not a bad thing, just that the game is more balanced now.

The Duo and Harris options are very flexible. I have not played every combination, just list building for fun. I prefer HI with support so my Mobile Brigada see a lot of playtime.

One Harris I used was a MB Lt with 2x MB ML. This was a level 3 fireteam. The ML with the +1SD makes it better for ARO duty. My opponent knowing there are TWO MB ML is enough to make him reconsider his plans.
For a Duo, the MB HMG & MB hacker is a good attack piece with a specialist in tow. They gain the +1SD which is useful. I find the Rounder with MMR is a good back-up or secondary shooter in another Duo. Also good for clearing out SK and mimetism troopers.

Rounders, Grenzers, and Intruders are the main MSV options. So far, my local gaming community is not mimetism heavy. The Rounder is my preferred option. It has NCO, making that Lieutenant order far more useful. The MMR helps shoot targets further away, not in combi rifle ranges.

I found the Kriza Borac HMG not useful. Every time I use it against a key enemy trooper, it generally has Warhorse, so the Kriza's BS Attack (-3) is useless. I found better value for points with the MB HMG. Those templates from the Boarding Pistol are fantastic! And jump (8 inches) has been useful in trying to get good angles of fire.

The E/mitter on the Lunkohod REM has been great at locking down enemy HI. Plus it is a great midfield obstacle, with crazy koalas and large templates and repeater in the midfield. Still trying to make the Tsyklon work with its pitchers.

The Moran with Camo (1 use) is better. Normally my Moran's are hunted down early, so the camo helps keep him alive. While I have not tried it yet, I want to move him into my opponent's deployment zone and surprise attack with the combi rifle, then place a CK in the opponent's dep. zone. Near a fireteam of possible Lt.

Zero's have so many useful options they are the better SK. Especially for midfield specialists. The Spekter, while good, is expensive, and I always fall back to Zero's to get the job done. My Zero KHD has always done its job and killed enemy hackers reliably.

The Tunguska Triggerman is a useless profile. I do not use it. There are better profiles such as the Sin-Eater (all profiles), Grenzer MSR, or Intruder MSR/HMG for dedicated ARO work.
I have not used the Kulak profile but I have had fun building Harris or Duo's with it. There are some great options. The HRL in a Harris with Kulak hacker and Grenzer MSR makes a solid "base." Or the Duo Rounder MMR with Kulak hacker is good on paper. Never played yet but hope too.

These are my main observations when I play. Nomads still have solid hacking attack and defence. I think it is even stronger now, but setting up midfield repeaters is less easily available with Moran AVA 1. We now have to either shoot with pitchers, or use the SK profiles with deployable repeaters. Nothing inhibiting, just spending a few more orders setting up a repeater network.

Overall, I am having fun with vNomads and trying different things.

Played a game today in preparation for a tourney next week. Mostly a teach-as-we-play to help a new player starting infinity, and he will be in the tourney next week too.

I did run up the Zero in camo and place a repeater next to my opponent's harris with his Lt in it. Unfortunatly, i was unable to Oblivion his Lt. but my MB ML did kill it.

I did enjoy Carbonite, then Oblivion his harris of 2x Boyg, 1x Karhu engineer. Strange that my dice rolled well for a much harder target with ECM (hacker -3), but failed for his ORC Lt. Both Boygs were locked down.

While most opinions about the flash pulse bots is to use them as ARO pieces to slow down the enemy, i like using them as fast repeaters. MOV 6-6 is good to relocate repeaters where i need them.

Kulaks are amazing as Duo or Haris members in vanilla. It is rare that my vanilla lists do not have them.

Throwing either the Rounder or Grenzer in with them makes for a good defense and assault combo.

The Grenzer is particularly handy vs. other Nomads (GoPod) or Morats (Sogarats). Warhorse is really a nice element of the rock paper scissors these days. If you don't have other hard AROs which can slow a GoPod, the Grenzer will be really handy.

The Rounder is best for midfield assault, or defending/gatekeeping midfield objectives like the consoles in Frostbyte. Overall I would take her most often in a take-all-comers list.

Puppetbots are also really really good, as they always were, but Flash Pulses now stop so many things that they couldn't before. A unit with 2-3 FO puppets is in every vanilla list I can squeeze it into now.

For big shooters, the GoPod and a Szally in the same list is amazing. They can brute force their way past almost anything. If you also have a visor in the list (like the Grenzer/Rounder mentioned above), and some Uberfalls, you can really take out almost any unit via alpha strike.

    Thanks for all the input!
I'm unsure if people are still figuring out things or if the Nomad part of the forum isn't really that active anymore.

One things that caught my eye from what you guys wrote is that Lunokhod might be pretty viable now as a sort of substitution for a second Moran. It's a Repeater and has Coalas, can get only half way up, but has some other useful stuff.
Other one is double/triple FO bots, which seems both interesting and useful.

I'd like to try Spektr MSR. I know it's expensive, but there could be use for it now, mostly out of holding the AROs until it was meaningful (this could be just wishful thinking cose I have unfinished conversion of it with Grenzer MSR hands ^^).
Mobile Brigada Duos/Harises also seems to be a thing now, which kinda makes me happy.

I was looking into using Grenzer NCO for Duos/Harises, but Rounders seem to outrank them, which I don't really like.
