OK! So we've all heard the debate about vanilla vs sectorial and the perks each variation brings to list building, but I got to thinking about what makes our sectorials somewhat unique. Aleph. Ok so this may be a sometimes controversial thing for some, but I was thinking of building a vanilla style list in one of our sectorials to take advantage of AVA and unique profiles. I also want to spread out my threats without bunkering up my links. Or limited (1 haris/core). I've been thinking on this because some sectorials like VIRD have really strong fireteam options. So that got me thinking about what perks a sectorial gains other than the fireteam(s) and for NCA, Acon and MO to a degree have access to Aleph and Merc troops that Vanilla does not. I'm trying to stretch my list building by thinking outside of the box. Often the box in regards to sectorials are their choice in fireteams.
@xammy I can see only NCA being able to do something like this. Perhaps O.S.S. as well They are probably the most Vanilla sectorial in all of Infinity.
That's a fair assessment. The only times I would consider it in MO would be if I wanted to maximize Joan coordinated order shenanigans. Acon has strong link options and have been made only stronger from the recent update.
Good points. Still NCA current feels quite bland compared to other sectorials out there. It really feels like a Vanilla force and it seems to function like one except for the lack of smoke among a few other things a Vanilla list could have in it.
