Hey guys, I just signed up for a German Tournament using the same missions and rules as the Interplanetario: Highly Classified, Acquisition, Frontline, Firefight, Supremacy played as Limited insertion with Solfiers of Fortune. Since I am not going to the Interplanetario this year, I don’t need to use this as a serios list testing opportunity. Therefore, I‘d like to use this as an opportunity to see how well Ariadna can do in such a setting. Quite a while ago, I finished 2nd in a Limited Insertion Tournament using Voronin lists, which are now not useable due to the backdoor event. So I‘d like to explore the opportunities of SoF to make up for this. I have identified a whole bunch of interesting units so far: Saito McMurder Avicenna Uhahu Emily Druze Kaplan Yojimbo In other words, almost all choices available. Has anyone messed with this before and found some interesting builds? I‘d be glad not to start from zero here. Cheers!
This would be my initial guess: Ariadna Merc Party──────────────────────────────────────────────────9 1 1 VETERAN KAZAK Lieutenant AP HMG / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (1 | 47) UHAHU Hacker (Hacking Device Plus. UPGRADE: Icebreaker) Pitcher, D-Charges / Assault Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 25) EMILY (Chain of Command) Combi Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher (Normal and E/M), Nanopulser / Assault Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 35) CSU (Specialist Operative) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) ARMAND (Multispectral Visor L1) MULTI Sniper, Nanopulser / 2 Breaker Pistols, Shock CC Weapon, Knife. (1.5 | 45) SPETSNAZ (CH: Ambush Camouflage) HMG / Pistol, CCW, Knife. (1.5 | 38) CHASSEUR (Forward Observer) Rifle, Light Flamethrower, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) CHASSEUR (Forward Observer) Rifle, Light Flamethrower, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) UXÍA McNEILL (Covert Action) (CH: Limited Camouflage, Superior Infiltration, Specialist Operative) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / 2 Assault Pistols, AP CCW, Knife. (0 | 27) DOG-WARRIOR 2 Chain Rifles, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / AP CCW. (0 | 27) 6 SWC | 299 PointsOpen in Infinity Army The second list should probably feature a doctor or an engineer in case Highly Classified depends on them, but the other missions should work well with this. White Noise from the HD+ is a nice counter to MSV, which opponents are likely to pick id they have it in one of their lists. Chain of Command is a great Combo with the Vet Kazak HMG LT. Feels like a list with a lot of punch in all regards.
This would be my attempt at a second list: I hired a Druze──────────────────────────────────────────────────10 SAITO TOGAN Combi Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, EXP CCW, Knife. (0 | 39) DRUZE Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Combi Rifle + Pitcher, D-Charges / Viral Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 28) SPETSNAZ (CH: Ambush Camouflage) HMG / Pistol, CCW, Knife. (1.5 | 38) VETERAN KAZAK Lieutenant AP HMG / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (1 | 47) VETERAN KAZAK Paramedic (MediKit) AP Rifle, Light Flamethrower / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 39) ARMAND (Multispectral Visor L1) MULTI Sniper, Nanopulser / 2 Breaker Pistols, Shock CC Weapon, Knife. (1.5 | 45) CHASSEUR (Forward Observer) Rifle, Light Flamethrower, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) CHASSEUR (Minelayer) Rifle, Light Flamethrower, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 20) VOLUNTEER Chain Rifle, Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 6) FOXTROT (Forward Observer) Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 18) 6 SWC | 300 PointsOpen in Infinity Army The main idea was to see how much it can surprise an opponent to find a TO unit in an Ariadna list. I could see this work out well to protect the HVT in Highly Classified (possibly also to synchronize the enemy HVT and move it to a favorable position thanks to smoke) or defending the main antenna in Acquisition or to simply dominate zones in Supremacy or Frontlines. The Druze isn’t really necessary I guess. Maybe it would be good to remove him to make it less obvious that I am using the SoF. Not sure what to replace it with though and having a reasonable hacker with repeaters seems like a cool choice.
