USAriadna: Grunt Fireteams...?

    Hello!

    What are your 5-men Grunt Fireteams, and how do you play them?

    I'm planning with 2 snipers, 1 HMG, 1 medic and 1 lieutenant as a defensive team.

    Why do you pick an hmg if its a defensive team? squeeze those points!

    5 Sniper Rifles.

    Or 3 SR and two Heavy Flamers

    Or 2 SR, 2 HF and your obvious Grunt Lt

    Or, to advance (if you feel like it, not judging here), the new girl who isn't out yet, and HMG, a couple HF, and a specialist. Paramedic if Lady Luck loves you, Forward Observer if you like taking pictures.

    That's how I do it.

    2 snipers, 2 FOs an Lt and a HMG (to be swapped to rosie asap)

    Good defensive link, synergy with the rest of my list (I run a katyusha) and the abillity to break up late game and push with a B5 HMG/B3 lrl

    I've been running 2 Snipers, Grenade Launcher Lt, Hvy Flamer/Rifle and FO/Paramedic as a defensive link. They don't do much most games but do act as a slight speed bump. People seem more scared of the snipers than they should be based on my experience with them (best was 2 snipers and a Foxtrot sniper all AROing the same missile launcher HI at the same time and at the end all 3 were dead and it lost a wound to a Blackjack....). Lt grenade launcher is actually fairly nice to have even if it never hits anything. Great for making people nervous about midfield objectives. So yeah my take away is they are orders for other units and accomplish nothing but make the enemy more nervous than they should be.

    1 HMG
    2 FO
    1 paramedic
    1 LT with LGL
    2 command tokens to reform the link when receiving casualties
    When the 2 snipers are dead the rest of the team can go hunting

    1 Heavy Flamer.
    2 posible Grunt Lt with rifle.
    One 112 nearby.

    They have to be there and not move during all the match, you have better specialists you have better hard hitting units you have better mobile troops use them, grunts are goo doing his job, sitting all day and sniping in reactive. use your marauders, mavericks, foxtrots etc they will do the rest.
