Hey everyone, I posted a topic on the Defiance board for Legate proxies to the Samaritan in the OCF reinforcement pack since I hate the unbalanced top heavy Samaritan sculpt. A response mentioned a post or article that describes a conversion for the existing model that removes the 'super-jump shadow spooky bits' from the the sculpt to make is more balanced I guess. However, the responder couldn't find it does anyone know where I could find it?

I've got to remember to take pictures of mine.
I cut about 20mm off the bottom of it, blended that with a new base (flat, resin - I needed to pin into it, so it had to be a solid base) and then pinned the swirly ethereal floaty tentacle-y bits to the base edge. So it still looks "floaty" but not 3" tall and floaty.

My conversion is much simpler - I put the Samaritan's arms onto the Legate Hacker's body. The Legate Hacker has a somewhat different armor design anyway, so this leaves me with a Samaritan who doesn't fall over and two Legates that look similar to one another and are visually distinct from my Samaritan.

    Which sculpt is the hacker?

Is that the one in the starter?
The one with the hood down and boarding shotgun?

The Boarding Shotgun Legate is also a hacker.

Yes, the shotgun one is the hacker. The starter is CCW-only and so is universal, and the spitfire is just that.

In addition to having the hood down, the shotgun/hacker one also has extra tassels on his robe that neither of the other sculpts include.

That's the one I was planning on using as proxy, originally until someone mentions a conversion for the current Samaritan sculpt. It is the most bad ass umbra sculpt currently out IMHO. Though Game Nerdz has a pre-order for "The Umbra" that I am curious about from a collector perspective; as I am running HB in 2020.

It was described as a repack by other sources so there's a decent chance that'll be a box collecting the Samaritan, BSG Legate, and Spitfire Legate. Or possibly a blister with just the two Legates.
