    Hello all

This is my frist post on this forum. I dont play infinity at the moment, but I do buy models from time to time.

My goal is to build a modular tall building that also works in one plane.

It is constructed using a material i think is called sintra in english.

The first thing i did was to create a ruff 3d model and then use that as a template for the model. After that i just did what i thought would work.

I am new to sharing image online. I have used imgur. Any better ways to do it?

Looks pretty cool, like a lot of care has gone into it.

You could always just post the images here, directly on the forums, although that does not always work.
Id like to see it when the building is completed!

I tried to post directly, but I didnt know how. It wanted a image URL and I had no idea how to get it. I am going to make two buildings in total and connect them with walkways. I am also going to make some barricades that can be placed when the buildings isnt stacked. The different modules is going to be magnatized because they can tilt atm.

Btw when i try to upload a image with the "upload a file" funktion as a responce it tell me that there is an error.

The Upload function has a maximum size of ~2MB, anything larger (like uncompressed photos taken with a modern phone camera) will give an error.

Really want to paint it, but dont have the money for spraypaint atm. I am going to do the inside with laminated prints to make it look as good as posible. Its one thing to cut and shape the outside, but I cant do that fir the inside.

Its probably a flaw in how i work. I really didnt plan anything after the first ruff shape.

I like to have something uniqe and the wierd shapes can generate some fun and different layouts. I never really liked the lasercut square models they use at my local store.

I would guess i could make another 3 modules and paint them in a week if i had the materials and most evenings free.

    Very cool!

I will admit, Infinity as a game needs lots of terrain. So feel free to go crazy and cover the board!

Absolutely! But I dont think there is anything to gain with really tall buildings. Thats why i only do 3 floors. How many tall buildings do you think is enough? This building is 8" x 6" if im not mistaken..

A variety of heights is more fun than a sea of 3-story buildings. Some single-level, some 2-, some 3, and even some 4- or 5-story buildings.

Okay. I have everything covered from ground level to third floor. I didnt want to go higher because i had a hard time figuring out if it would impact the gameplay negatively if the buildings got to be too high. One of the things i was considering was to make some big buildings as centerpieces. Something like a small shoppingmall or other building that would allow for railings and tiered levels inside.

If you are interested, give me the dimensions and I can model it in CAD for 3D printing :)

Very nice! Once they have some paint on them they could easily pass for commercial stuff

You need to be really careful with big buildings, they can quickly dominate the entire game. Antenociti's Workshop made an awesome ~8story monster that basically only got used in a couple games before it became the entire game. It's that round building on the right of the pic:

That's the biggest you will ever want to make, at least with an accessible interior.

I do not have access to a 3d printer and I dont know if a printet model would be too heavy. As it is now i have a problem with the balance. That is why i am going to magnatize it. I can give you the messurements if you want to try and make it anyway :) I do play around with blender from time to time and could make a model maybe. Or i can draw the floorplans?

I would never make something that big. I was thinking more in the line of a 12" x 10" with two floors with a big open space in the middle. The shop would be small and placed along the sides of the lager building. They would mostely be there to obscure los and be the foundation for a railed walkways on top going all the way around. Maybe a centerpiece in the middle.

I know it is hard to follow what im takling about with the laungage barrier and the fact that the building only exist in my mind.
