Played a tourney using MRRF today. It was a small turnout with only four players, but it was a good time and everyone had a new opponent each round. Three rounds, using the escalation and tactical window. Missions 200pt Countermeasures, 300pt Hunting Party, 400pt Show of Force. I had a close loss first round, minor victory second round, and a major victory third round. As nobody went undefeated, it went to OP for tiebreaker and I ended up placing first. Overall, I was very pleased with how the MRRF performed. I always felt like I had the tool for the job. This was my second tournament using MRRF and my overall record with them is now: 5-2-0

In Countermeasures it was just me taking one of each of the specialists. Additionally, the wardriver does come with a boarding shotgun and gets a bonuses irregular order in CM. I’ve found that can come in handy for once she’s completed her mission. Your opponent doesn’t really expect an attack from the wardriver and can pay the price for it. In unmasking, the hacker gets a bonus die to bop the button and the dozer was more a product of getting a specialist, point limit, and model limit from TW. It just worked out to take him. In SoF the hacker just didn’t make the cut with TW and the engineer got upgraded to the Moblot Engineer due to TW limiting my model options.
Interesting. Why not take the real hacker? Two points and 0,5 SWC doesn't seem that much. I'm assuming that you plan on going 2nd, hide everything, bleed out enemy orders with mines and Chasseurs and concentrate on completing the mission?
Several reasons. With TW the list building was pretty difficult TBH so pts and SWC were not as forgiving. Also, I have zero interest in learning hacking stuff before N4 changes all of it. So I was only bringing it for the missions. In that mission I ended up going first. Used Wardrover to push the button. It then failed to kill the HTV (needed 18’s and rolled 19/2 on its BS and HTV dodged on a 3). But the nice thing for Unmasking is the FO chasseurs can bop the button, recamo, and then go hunt the HTV if I go first.
