Hi everyone, Returning player and I'm debating between White Banner and Tunguska. I really like the White Banner models, but I also really like Tunguska's infowar capabilities and general shenanigans. Help me make a decision by helping me understand what White Banner struggles against. What are our worst missions and opponents, and why? Thanks in advance!
I think any mission that limits forward deployment or is difficult for vanilla factions such as Biotechvore, or that puts a strain on the LT such as Decapitation are difficult for White Banner - the sectorial has a tendency towards obvious LT and obvious CoC. It does have a bit of a shortage on anti-material CCWs, but not on the same ridiculous level as ISS. Otherwise the sectorial is fairly well rounded. I'd be as hard pressed to name any mission it's got problems with as any mission it's better at than other sectorials or factions. There's several sectorials with less protected and more obvious LTs, it's better at moving large number of units than any given vanilla faction, it does have all the important tools (decent hackers, MSV, smoke, variety of HMGs, skirmishers, non-hackables, a grenade launcher, climb+, reasonable D-charge/DACCW units, and a few others). It's like; everyone's bad at Biotechvore, but vanillas are worse everyone's got order efficiency problems with Capture and Protect, but vanillas are worse everyone's unable to properly infiltrate in Armoury, but WB doesn't live or die by their infiltrators everyone's needs to do some slight adjustments for Mindwipe, but at least this isn't ISS everyone's concerned going into Firefight, but WB has decent amounts of TR remotes and AD troops everyone has problems with Rescue, but you do have decent infiltrators If you find yourself struggling with White Banner it's probably not the mission putting your faction at a disadvantage that's the root cause.
