This is the example in the wiki infinity page:

    TinBot: Firewall (-3)
Indicates that, when the owner of the TinBot is targeted by a Comms Attack, the Enemy will apply a -3 Firewall MOD.

My question is, the tinbot is a real firewall so guarantees also the other defense of the commons firewall?

    This:
A Trooper benefitting from a Firewall will apply a MOD of -3 to the Attack Damage of Comms Attacks if they have to perform a Saving Roll.

Yes a tinbot grants you the -3 dam VS a comm attak.

Part of why Tinbot -6 is so damn good in the current environment - there's no better protection from hacking, and it's distributed fairly unevenly among the factions.
