Hey everyone! I an returning to Infinity after a long break and bought a bunch of Druze stuff! When I used to play everyone in my Lgs would always use Spec Ops, but I see a lot of lists on here with none in them. I was wondering what the general rules regarding their inclusion are these days and what do people think of them in DBS? I think a good doc/engineer, high WIP combo would be useful! Thanks for any replies!

Yeah, a good doc/eng is what I go for in DRuZE BayRam SecuRity - WiP 12 is really weak to start with, but upgrading her ( ;) ) to WiP 15 doesn't cost so much - there's still 3pts for some fun. And it's good to have that specialist, as for me big part of Druze power lies in REMs, like Bishop - I mean linked Clipper ;) That's his nickname in my army, inspired mostly by Marines from Aliens franchise (and other movies too). When some of my plain mercenaries do something meaningful he deserves to be named, and Bishop really earned his name ;)
    The same goes with PainMaker.

So, to summarize - Doctor + Engineer + WiP 15 is the way to start. Add her a nasmat, and maybe even a Hacking Device, to give the REM marksmanship L2 and you're gold.

And about the rules of taking SpecOps - it's up to the organizer of tournament. Or up to the players in friendly games.

Thanks very much for the reply! WIP 15 doc/engineer/hacker sounds fantastic! Great advice!

I’m always a fan of AD3 with a spitfire or viral rifle and specialist operative.

Cheers for the tip TDA! I never would have thought of those profiles! I'll give them a go! Loved your blog entries on DBS btw! I found them very interesting and they went a long way to convincing me to try starting Druze!

I would also lean towards the doc/engineer, but theoretically you can also make a Mimetism, Viral Sniper with BS13 for 12XP. DBS already has good Snipers, but that one doesn't cost you SWC and is pretty scary in a full link. Might be a fun option too.

Oh wow McNamara that is a nasty set up! I definitely want to try that option out too as I always seem to run out of SWC! I might convert a Brawler Doc and Engineer just to have some options for taking a nasty combat Spec Op too! I just thought, maybe a mimetic spitfire bs13 spec op in a haris with a hacker might be a neat speedy button pushing combo!

Yeah the mimetism viral sniper is damn good, especially in a link. The only downside is that it doesn’t really add anything that Druze was missing in particular. That said, that loadout is never a bad choice, haha.
