So these are going to be a different scale if I got that right? Not quite sure how they are going to approach that, but if the miniatures are incompatible with Infinity, that's going to put a massive damper on my interest. Anyway, cautiously optimistic.
Kickstarter, boardgame, but they didn't specify metal vs plastic or anything. They did say largest models, so I assume bigger than common TAGs. Not sure of scale, but they like interchangeable, so seems odd to not make them useful in Infinity, but who knows. Metal seems likely, but the Megalodron does show the plastic path if they go that way. It does mean China though, which means delays.
They'll get my money if they include alternative TAG limbs for infinity Scale. I want Blue Wolf with the Guijia broadsword as its CCW.
So they tease an Ariadna TAG... in a game with Infinity incompatible scale? I'd rather hope that TAG gets an Infinity-sized release. Alternately, is it something that's "Infinitus Titanicus", so more Battletech than TAGs, where a Megalodron would be a normal unit? Or maybe the "scale" remark is just "many TAGs going at it", so engagement scale rather than model size?
TAG Spec Ops style rules for Infinity? P.s. as the Infinity-tie-in rules, not TagRaid The CorvusBelliOfficial account kept repeating "same scale" and "fully compatible with infinity" in chat during the seminar
every vehicle-based battle royal needs the on big bad that tits around blasting everyone without moving minion for twisted metal for example
https://infinitytheuniverse.com/games/tag-raid website, not much there and it's in Spanish, but it exists.
Well, that would be making sense. As it would allow cross-use of existing models, rather than burdening the company with a dedicated TAG RAID scale & catalog. CB seems to be making a lot of cross-use, and IMO it is a really clever idea they had. Starting with Infinity's NA2 (and to a lesser degree, some 2ed Sectorials) where "you can have a new army, just take half of what you already have, and buy the other half that was originally a part of a very different army", several characters appearing in both Infinty N3/N4 and Aristeia, the very existence of Code One, Defiance (re)using a whole lot of Infinity models (ad then adding its own, that are 100% usable in Infinity), and now that... Clever, gentlemen, very clever. Though I guess that, personally, I'll give it a pass.
Well, that's a relief. But the question remains what the bulk of it will be. Ariadna Tag is heavily implied, but that can't be all. Probably some sort of endboss like the Megalodron as well, but even then it doesn't really warrant a whole new KS campaign. With some TAGs already out of the way through Code One, they might use this as an occasion to bring the older TAGs up to the new quality standard... Some alternate bits and poses for existing TAGs would also be kind of cool.
This better not be another FOMO spiel though. Hiding the TAG Ariadna finally get behind a Kickstarter-only prepurchase would be an epic asshole move.
O-yoroi is CAD, but I guess he is a bit old. Yeah Scarface and Anaconda wouldn't be bad to upgrade either.
Then we have the Iguana and Lizard - I'd expect the former to go into Code One to complement the Corregidor release.
it could be worse Ariadna tag as a limited preorder bonus beside what would Ariadna tab be a blackjack with two antipodes strapped on its arms?
Ariadna are getting a TAG box as part of their Code One releases, TAG RAID will likely have Defiance style alternate sculpts exclusive to the crowdfunding campaign.
